The Maple Ridge Woodlot has been painstakingly created by a small group of riders who have built a mountain biker's paradise of twisting ramps, ladders, jumps, and steep descents. It is the place to ride in Maple Ridge for intermediate and advanced riders.
You can't shuttle and all unauthorized motor vehicles are prohibited, so you must pedal up to ride down. The pedal up the skidder road to Gold & Krazy Karpenter will take under an hour. Once you get up top, there are lots of sturdy ladders and you'll want to play over and over on the logs, ladders, and jumps. Bring spares, first aid gear, friends, water, and respect for the local trails.
Most of the mountain bike trails in the Woodlot are actually part of the BC Ministry of Forest Woodlot License 0007. It is a working forest and is managed by the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Forest Society. The Woodlot builders work closely with the Fraser Valley Mountain Bikers Association and have a good working relationship with BCIT.
The FVMBA and other stakeholders have worked together to legalize the Woodlot trails and they are Official Recreation Trails under Section 56 of the Forest and Range Practices Act.
-Unauthorized trail building is prohibited.
-Unauthorized motor vehicles including dirt bikes and quads are prohibited.
-Horses must remain on Woodlot Main Road and Trans Canada Trail.

Access Info:
The Woodlot is located on the border of Maple Ridge and Mission. From Dewdney Trunk Road, turn North at 287 Street and park at the dead end just North of 123 Ave. The main trail up is via an active forestry road that climbs up past the power lines with branches that lead you to a variety of good technical single track. You can also climb up Stovetop if you wish to remain on singletrack. The Woodlot is a great area for all Downhill and advanced XC riders.
