All climbs are very steep with occasional hike a bike.
4Wd should have a winch and dirt bikes should have a tow strap.
Always carry spares on journeys and then nearest bike shop is Warburton or Mansfield.
Limited fuel oil available in town but don’t rely on it.
All river crossings are impassable after heavy rains or snow.
Telephone service is only available in town via Telstra and some of the surrounding hills so its advisable to download maps routes at home or get Trailforks Pro which works Offline.
River are drinkable but there is no water on ridges. All campsites are free and there is
accommodation at the pub or Richmond retreat.
