Blowdown from Septembers storms cleared from trail head (TH) to Castle Pass intersection Oct.1 & 2. Remaining alder & brush cleared from old switchback skid road climb from TH to park boundary Oct. 3.
There are still at least half dozen dead beetle kill leaning trees so they will likely come down this winter.
Steeper, direct horse route is clear but has leaning trees that will probably come down this winter.
Carry a folding saw, you will need it.
