DESCRIPCIÓN:

Acometéis una de las más empinadas pistas de la comarca, pero antes iniciáis la ruta rodando por un divertido sendero junto al río Mijares para calentar. Tras la subida ya se intuye por donde vais a circular. Se trata de un sendero ciclable en ambos sentidos, donde el hábil manejo de los cambios y de la tija telescópica se hacen imprescindibles, el segundo kilómetro del sendero coincide con una zona quemada en el incendio de marzo de 2023. Llegados a la antigua masía del Cerrito, comenzáis el descenso por una divertida y revirada senda que os lleva hasta Los Cantos. Desde allí en ascenso, y sin dejar de circular por senda, retornáis a Olba con una bajadita final sobre losas de piedra para dejaros con buen sabor de boca.

COSAS QUE DEBÉIS SABER:

Es una de las rutas con mayor porcentaje de senda del territorio EndurolandMTB.
Tanto en Los Pertegaces como en Los Cantos tenéis fuentes donde repostar.
A la entrada de Olba, justo cuando termina el puente de piedra, podéis bajar a la derecha para refrescaros en el río.
Podéis combinar esta ruta con el resto de las que se inician en Olba para alargar la jornada.
Ruta afectada por el incendio de Marzo de 2023 desde el km 7 hasta el 9,7. Algunos de los tramos afectados están balizados con troncos y piedras para que os mantengáis en la trazada original, por favor, respetadla.

VARIANTE DE SAN PEDRO:

Esta variante os desciende de la forma más directa a Olba, primero por pista Ibañez Altos 1 #2 hasta una ermita y, de allí, 500 m por pista muy rota Variante San Pedro #1 que se convierte en senda Variante San Pedro #2.

Una buena opción para escapar si la cosa se pone fea por la causa que sea.

07 Barranco Del Lobo is a 9 mile popular intermediate route located near La Monzona. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 8 trails. This route climbs 1,800 ft with a max elevation of 3,040 ft then descends -1,804 ft.
