The 2022 Cumby will take place in the hills above the picturesque and historic Village of Cumberland, BC. This year's event includes our signature 25 km race, The Full Cumby, and 1/2 Cumby, a 15km race. NEW this year is the 1/4 Cumby, a 6 km race. All races will include plenty of hills, single-track trails, and scenic vistas of Baynes Sound and Georgia Strait.

The event starts at No. 6 Mine Heritage Park in downtown Cumberland and proceeds through the Cumberland Community Forest and adjacent working forests. The 25 km route encompasses a steady climb through rich timberland and reclaimed logging areas, then leads runners through winding singletrack. For those interested in a shorter but still challenging race, the 1/2 Cumby course will provide runners with a variety of terrain, trail surfaces, and views.

The Cumby is an event of the Comox Valley Road Runners. It is a wilderness event and participants should expect technical trails with numerous stream crossings, narrow bridges, and quick ups and downs.

Net proceeds of the Cumby go to the Cumberland Community Forest Society (CCFS).

Online registration opens February 14th, 2022 at 6 am.

1/4 Cumby 2022 is a 4 mile intermediate race route located near Cumberland British Columbia. This trail running only route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 12 trails. This route climbs 452 ft with a max elevation of 865 ft then descends -449 ft.
