Another classic Pisgah "Front Range" loop with maximal fun in mind
Starting from the bottom of Lower Black climb up Thrift Cove past the exit of the lower black trail and continuing to bear left at the fork all the way up to the intersection of where middle black comes down into Lower Black. Take a minute to collect yourself and rip down Black taking full advantage of the bermable options! Watch out for the bridges and rock gardens if it's slick!
At the bottom get your climb on again, but this time bear right at the fork and keep on climbing up Grassy Road Trail to a 3-way intersection. Here you can take a left and keep climbing until it starts pointing back downhill on the Sycamore Cove Trail. At the end you will be out on Hwy 276 that takes you into Pisgah National Forest so mind the cars and cross the road heading back into the forest on the other side of the road, there is a trail on either side of the river OR if you are brave stay on the road cruising back to the parking area or just ride down to the Hub for a beer or Kombucha!

#10 Thrift/Black/Sycamore - Roam Fest East Crankjoy Route is a 8 mile moderately popular intermediate route located near Brevard North Carolina. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 9 trails. This route climbs 1,311 ft with a max elevation of 2,903 ft then descends -1,315 ft.
