Trail 2 Flats
In support of the previous comments... Photos added showing "Lower 2 Flats" is a black diamond trial now. This section has two steep chutes to descend plus a fairly high bridge and should be reclassified on the map. This section is where it should be downhill only.

The rest of 2 Flats is a blue trail and suitable to be ridden either direction (where Trailforks indicates that "97% ride it in reverse").

edit to my previous comment… it turns to single black diamond at the fork with bonestorm. really should be 2 different trails (upper and lower) with the lower section as black

this is also a black diamond trail and trailforks has it miscategorized. the marker on the trail is single black diamond. Also agree with previous comments, there is a steep run out at the bottom which is doable for someone comfortable with blues but not for someone just trying blues out.

Overall fun gnarly descent, didn’t notice ruts that were mentioned previously, perhaps referring to an area which is now multiple line options. 4 switchbacks at end waste elevation, 2 loose rock chunk, 2 mellow dirt

Fantastic true double black enduro line when combined with Bakers Dozen and Knuckles. Slabs, chunky rock lines, dirt steeps, rooty gnarl, jumps. Only a small bit of pedalling since it is Cumberland after all

Trail UpCake Climb
Definitely take this uptrack rather than access road around, the access road turns into a riverbed hikeabike for a portion. Also when climbing to cupcake uptrack, the ‘access road’ off David Lake Main looks like singletrack, easy to blow past when thinking you’re looking for a road

Dear UROC,
Using/re-establishing this old road as a "trail" is a mistake. It is currently delivering sediment into the community watershed, contrary to the objective of having clean water quality. Close it down, remediate, and build a purpose built climbing trail (if one is actually required).
Cheers!

This was by far my favorite trail in Cumberland. Mostly blue with two harder steep features. Linked it into Baker's Dozen and Knuckers which were also good. Not pedally. Riders in sausage suits and ballet slippers should look elsewhere.

In my opinion this is the best climbing trail in western Canada/USA. I've ridden all over BC, Washington, Oregon, Utah, plus some in Colorado and Peru. This is definitely the nicest climbing trial I've ridden. It climbs gently but with just the right amount of upward progress plus relief from the climb in all the right spots. Nice single track width through the trees. No roots to slow you down. Bravo to the designers and builders. Awesome job!

You will not find a better climbing trail than this. Many switchbacks but well designed to be well bermed and wide on the upper side. The trail has been well designed to either flatten or have a slight incline for riders to catch their breath. Finally, the entire trail has had lots of earth put down so the path is quite smooth, no mean feat in the scrub forest that the trail winds through.
