Trail San Tan
In order to do most of the downhill sections when entering from the main entrance, the best way I’ve found is to ride this trail from the main gate counter clockwise (start at little leaf and head up) and then ride the San tan trail all the way around to hedgehog. Ride hedgehog back to the southeast side of San Tan Trail and take that south and wrap back around going passed hedgehog. Either go east on star gazer from there or ride San tan all the way around the north end where you started. Total travel distance is something like 9 or 10 miles.

Love this short trail. It's a must ride out here and a great confidence builder for newer riders.
Pros: Can be ridden both directions. West to east from Moonlight to SanTan has a nice downhill section to end it.
Cons: A lot of horse traffic usually coming east to west so be careful and yield.

Trail San Tan
DO NOT RIDE THIS CLOCKWISE. I’ve ridden here many times often coming off of dynamite (north end) and dropping into San Tan heading south on the west side. If you do this clockwise all you get is a climb fest with very few enjoyable downhill sections. To make this the most fun take goldmine out of the parking lot, turning left onto San Tan and follow it around COUNTER CLOCKWISE. Much more fun and a lot more flowing downhill.
