El descenso de Zarzakulea es, sin duda, el más difícil del valle de Roncal y uno de los más complicados del Pirineo. A sus pendientes fuertes y muy continuas hay que añadir raíces, rocas y algunos pasos expuestos. Desde el mismo collado de Lapatia puede tomarse otra bajada más sencilla aunque más frecuentada por senderistas, la de Lapatia. El largo ascenso de casi 16 km hasta el collado recorre el idílico y poco conocido valle de Mintxate. Las vistas del Pirineo desde lo alto son inmejorables.

16 Zarzakulea is a 18 mile popular black route located near Isaba. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 4 trails. This route climbs 3,225 ft with a max elevation of 5,052 ft then descends -3,252 ft.
