Se trata de un recorrido lineal para el que es recomendable disponer de combinación de coches o transporte previo hasta El Ferial. Aunque predomina el descenso (920 m de desnivel negativo), hay varios kilómetros de subida por sendero en los que es necesario esforzarse. Varios tramos son compartidos con rutas senderistas muy frecuentadas, por lo que es imprescindible extremar la precaución y practicar una conducción respetuosa.
