Great views, mellow grade, a lovely ribbon of trail through forest and bunch grass: fun for everyone.

Whatever
Yeah it's not a perfectly buff park trail
Apricot is a climbing trail and sucks as a downhill
Lightning is the only fun trail coming off the top

Trail Lightning
It's all good. I just found it hard to not catch the edges, but if someone is great at sticking the center with speed - I am sure it is an awesome decent. I am not, so it sucks the fun out of the downhill if I am just slow rolling the whole way. Happy trails!

Trail Lightning
Went down this route at the start of May. I think sections are fun, and then after a point you worry about opening up and catching the edge of the trail. Was starting to feel confident in sticking down the center of the trail so opened up my speed, caught my tire on the lip of the upper side of the trail (trail is grooved into the hillside) and I had a pretty good crash. Probably in part due to my lack of riding time on grooved out trails but I think I would ride up this next time since other trails don't have the high sides/narrow trail and I feel I could open up the speed more on them and enjoy the decent.

Trail Lightning
The narrow, deep ruts on this trail are dangerous. I don't recommend anyone ride down this fast.

Trail Clouds
As previously stated - this trail doesn't really exist. There is a cairn that may mark where the trail was/is, but in early May with all the grasses and flowers in - the trail seemed just barely existent to my eyes. The route looks steep, and I would not consider where it was going to be a blue. I am also not sure if you would be able to follow the trail past what I saw from the top.

Trail Lightning
Lightning is for sure a better downhill trail than an uphill.
So REALLY, y'all should try going UP homestead and apricot and DOWN Lightning.
Seriously more fun than climbing lightning and downhilling down the backside.

Trail Stairway to Heaven
Stairway is named appropriately - best used as an uptrail, but it can be ridden down, it just doesn't flow very well out of the switchbacks where berms are either lacking on the exit, or nonexistent (see: crash). It's also very flat, so you'll be pedaling a lot on the descent, but that makes it a super easy uphill. It's an excellent backbone to get to future downtrail developments. I'd rate it as a green circle. There are still a few fun flowy sections, though. Oh, and the views are excellent!

Trail Clouds
As mentioned, this trail does not connect with Thunder. I thought it would be a fun return to Lightning after climbing Apricot to upper Horse lake. it is a series of peaks riding along the ridge and can be quite steep. it’s not well ridden. It could be fun if it connected and had some work done.

It’s definitely a sanctioned trail and is the main up trail to the other trails! This trail should be rated green though!

Trail Coyote Canyon
Trail has gotten seriously damaged and is all washed out thru the upper steeper section. Needs a major reworking.

Trail Clouds
The section immediately below Thunder doesnt even exist. Just a steep grassy and shrubby hillside. Walked all over along the edge of the knoll and couldnt even find a remnant of a trail.
So i down hiked the bike cuz i could see the old doubletrack a couple hundred feet below and wanted to check it out. Clouds from that point is just a very steep in places doubletrack rolling up and down the ridgeline eventually joining with the "And" spur and then to the top of Lightning . Not worth it at all and wont be back unless all the super steep ups and downs get rerouted.

Trail Twin Peaks Slide
It's fun if you can ride downhill. Fast and slightly rocky. Very sustainable, don't know who wrote the desription but they are very wrong. Only way to connect horselake to no. 2 Don't mess with this trail!!!

Trail Twin Peaks Slide
The trail is a rear tire slide path, straight downhill with no drainage and no actual structure. It's just an old uphill motorcycle trail. I'll admit that I do ride it because it's faster than the other alternatives but I wish it was better built.

Trail Stairway to Heaven
Easily the most ridden trail in the #2 Canyon complex, so I don't get the unsanctioned label placed upon the trail? Evergreen has worked upon the trail recently as well.
