2016 IES Eagle Enduro (Beginner / Junior)

The first race of the 2016 Idaho Enduro Series kicks off at the Eagle Bike Park. The race course will consist of 4 timed stages featuring close to 1500ft of climbing over approximately 10 miles.

Still not sure what to make of Enduro?? Check out this article!
http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Beginners-Guide-to-Enduro-What-the-hell-is-it-2012.html

It is the riders responsibility to know the course and the transition stage. ALL CLIMBING will take place on the "IES Transition Trail" which consists of the far EBP boundary through the parking lots and against the road at the end of Stormin Mormon As seen in YELLOW on the map. Riders will then climb up Twisted Sister / D's Chaos to the normal "Landing" at the intersection of Stormin Mormon, Flow, and Shake n' Bake trails.

PLEASE DONT FORGET YOUR $20 TIMING CHIP DEPOSIT

***Please take caution on stage 1. Riders will proceed down Stormin Mormon to the second drop. Riders will veer left of the second drop, circling under the drop and continue on D's Chaos. This is a VERY sharp turn and riders should expect to come to a near stop or put a foot down to avoid colliding with the drop itself on the far side of the trail.

Stage 1: Stormin Mormon > D's Chaos > Twisted Sister > Low Rider

Description - Riders will proceed down the top half of Stormin Mormon ONLY. All riders will then cut left of the second drop on stormin mormon, circling around and under the feature *** and continue to a very pedally section of the segment. Hammer the pedals and follow the logical route downhill. All major intersections will be marked. How fast can you take the corners!?

Stage 2: Stormin Mormon

Description - An expert level downhill trail featuring all optional drops and jumps. All features are rollable (with the exception of the 1 obvious double)! Rally those berms and grab some airtime! Stormin Mormon from top to bottom!

Stage 3: Flow > Rabbit Run > Full Junk Yard

Description - Riders will proceed down the top of flow trail, rallying the first berm and hitting the step up, shortly thereafter, they will transfer over to Rabbit Run and continue through the hairpin corners. Riders will make a hard right on to Junk Yard trail and continue on a very long segment, crossing the road and not ending until the final left hand turn towards Old Horseshoe Bend Road. Hows that for a heart pounding segment!?

Stage 4: Flow > Rabbit Run > D's Chaos > Four Cross

Description - A top half repeat of the last segment. Riders will ride top of the Flow Trail and again transfer to Rabbit Run. Proceed down Rabbit Run with Four Cross in your sights. Don't forget the connector trail left hand turn! Pedal through the corners and finish the race strong with the highlight of the Eagle Bike Park, Four Cross trail. Spectators will the out in full force. Did you leave it all out there!?

Super fun jumpline. Although it is rated a black, it is easier than the blue jumplines at Bogus Basin (Space Nugget and Air Traffic Control).

Great line. The drops all have weirdly tight corners into them. I assume this is to make sure no one takes too much speed into them. There’s a couple great jump sections, but my personal favorite is the gap in the middle and the slight hip right before the third drop.

Trail Hell Mary
Trail is very fast for the size of table top. Gotta scrub most of them. Most of the landings are short and it’s easy to huck all the way to flat. Cool floaty step up after the first three rollers.
