2016 IES Tamarack Enduro (Pro / Expert / Sport Men / Junior Expert / Super Vet)

The fourth race of the 2016 Idaho Enduro Series is set to take place at Tamarack Resort. The race course will consist of 4 timed stages, including only 1 pedal transfer (after stage 3). All other transitions will be on the chairlift.

It is the riders responsibility to know the course and the transition stages.

The transition after stage 1 (Smokejumper) will continue on the ROAD, do NOT connect on Super G to get to Rockstar, as that trail will be used for another segment.

The transition after stage 3 will be UP the road back to the top of the mountain. DO NOT continue down to catch the lift. Any riders not following this transition stage will be DISQUALIFIED.

Course Preview:

Stage 1. Smoke Jumper (end before Rock Roll)

Riders will pedal down the road to the start of Smoke Jumper. Proceed down Smoke Jumper as the first stage kicks off Riders will encounter rocks, drops, optional doubles, ladders, on this Black Diamond trail. Pedal hard around the last corner as the stage WILL NOT take riders down the steep rock roll. It will end on the flat road. Please transition down the road, do not take the Super G connector to get to stage 2.

Stage 2. Rockstar > Exit Stage Right > Show Low (end at first road crossing)

Be prepared for RockStar, Tamaracks only double black diamond trail! Featuring a STEEP rock roll with option demanding drop at the bottom. Riders will have the option to go around this feature, however, its not very fast! Proceed across the road on Super G with eyes set on Exit Stage Right. We hope you cut your handlebars for the tricky tight spot between the rocks and tree! Squeeze through that, hit the steep right hander and you are almost home!!! Hammer out Show Low to the end of the segment. Transition up the lift.

Stage 3. Pure Vida to Hub 5 (end at second road crossing)

This will be a lung burner!!! Think Lance Armstrong speed, minus the steroids (we will be testing) and constant denial of wrongdoing. Continue past the first road and enter the pain cave! The segment will end at Hub 5, right above Rockstar and Super G second half.

The transition will be UP the road back to the top. DO NOT continue down to catch the lift. Any riders not following this transition stage will be DISQUALIFIED.

Stage 4. Smokejumper to road > Super G > Exit Stage Right > Show Low

T TO B!!!!!!! Top to Bottom run here to end the 2016 Tamarack Enduro. These are previously used trails, so riders should be familiar with the route. After Smoke Jumper, riders will connect on Super G INSTEAD of going down the dirt road. Follow the marked trails to the bottom!!! Did you do enough to be crowned the 2016 Tamarack Enduro CHAMPION!!!????? Leave it all out there and head back to the resort for a well deserved BEER (21+).

Turn underneath the rock slab is really loose and powdery; easy to slip out the back tire
