The 2016 Singletrack 6 will kick off with Stage 1 on the southeast side of town in the Castle and Ridgemont networks. The stage will start with our traditional downtown roll-out before tackling the classic Hyperventilation climb and the timed descent on Hyperextension. From there it’s on to some more great new trails: Kush, Kushier, and Kushiest. Then it’s back on the classic and fun Coal Discovery trail, and one more climb up through Sidewinder, Eric’s and Kid’s Stuff. We finish up with a challenging run down Hessian and Broken Hip into the finish at the Fernie Aquatic Centre.

Use to love this trail when it was reborn, rode it a fair bit in 2019, I even helped on a dig night to fix it, but sadly no one rides it anymore and therefor has become overgrown and very loose dirt (from no traffic). Rode it today, sad to see. But great views still prevalent!

One of our favourites in Fernie - a nice long and interesting descent. Not overly technical but enough to stay engaged and have fun.

This is really not a very fun trail. It is very, rooty, and loose. Wouldn’t ride it again.

Trail Old Stumpy
New to Fernie but rode this today. It seems like the second half of the trail going towards Deadfall/Oh Dear is either:
1) Wrong GPS coordinates, or
2) Decommissioned (If you follow the actual GPS coordinates you're basically in a field of grass.
Is this supposed to just be a chunk of the Town Loop trail, or is it dead and gone?

Super fun, short n' sweet trail — lots of little jumps and berms, and the "corkscrew" near the end is memorable. (The small jumps at the bottom of the trail appear to be sorted out now.) Start on Roxy Roller to get your full flow going!

A bunch of little features, good trail to practice on. It's definitely a different vibe riding through a logged area instead of a forest though, so don't come for the "scenery"!

Heads up for a downed tree on Eric’s Trail, just above the intersection with Roxy Roller. The tree is high enough to hit an adult in the neck/head if they are standing on their pedals!
