2016 TransBC - Day 2

It starts as a shuttle to Rusty parking and finishes at the Pearly Gates. You aren't going to want to pedal up to retrieve after this day.

(These are the GPX tracks from the actual ride, not as pretty as selecting the trails but it'll get you around.)

Beer Run is running great! Some stand up member(s) of society spent some time at the top with a chainsaw and cleared all the fallen trees. Nice and loamy at the top, a little tacky in the middle and loose and squirrley near the bottom. We did cut out off the trail at the FSR right by the clearing where everyone likes to camp so as far as the last section into Creek Park goes, I can't really say if it is in good shape or not.

Deadfall that was there for what felt like forever, almost a full day, has been cleared.

Major ruts throughout the trail. The final exit is particularly bad with a rut that is ankle deep. In the sprit of preservation the trail is closed until we get some significant rain. An alternate exit has been flagged off so please respect this. Also please refrain from braiding the trail if you do end up on it. Walk the bike instead of riding around.
