I lost my googles today 10-07-22 around 11:00 am, I believe on this trail (or Old Buck to connect with Badew Powell) on my way up to take John Deer. Please send me a message if you found them, thanks.

Rode a section of this today for the first time. Climbed GSM and wanted to get to Forever After, so we took Baden Powell. BP to Severed D was pretty fun. More black than blue, in my opinion. From Severed towards Forever it got even steeper and more treacherous. You've been warned!

The direction is basically wrong. It is 100% unrideable from forever after to severed upwards, but is a spicy treat downwards.

Difficult to find. The trailhead sign is facing the wrong direction for those looking for it on the way down. The mapb doesn't show it but the first bit is a moderately technical climb peaking at a large rock. Pretty chunky going down for a few sections all in a row. A harder black trail.

One of the best trails on seymour, flowy tech trail to have a ton of fun on! After corkscrew, make sure to go down powerline for a pump track!

Interesting battle at the exit between team strava-braid and team old skool. A bit laughable how bad the stravers want that 0.86 seconds!

It's like a chicken line to the right just before severed D gets steeper for a bit - but it takes you out onto penny lane. If you want to resume severed D, climb up Penny lane again and resume.

Folks who rated this trail low don’t appreciate the good things in life. A short trail thats easy to session , features steep rocks and roots. Its a bundle of fun, probably treacherous in the wet. The entrance is hard to find, but its a steep technical climb from the the bottom of pussyfoot where a bunch of trails intersect.

I’m mainly a mountain biker but today I went up hiking with my dog looking for my garmin I lost yesterday and getting way out of the way of the incoming bikers. To this guy that told me to get off the trail I say( and I do wish he reads this)
GO « F » yourself!!! The only reason I said nothing to him today was because my son was with me. I love this trail and I also volunteered on it few years back. But remember riders, it’s not only for us bikers, hikers are allowed also.
Cheers

A bit stiff, but also the fastest ride to the top of corkscrew or CBC, IMO. Good Sir Martin is more twisty and detours out of the way, and straight up Buck cuts off a loop on Mtn. Highway. GSM is good for the second lap, since you are already over near Academy, etc.

Not too bad until it crosses Powerlines, definitely feels like an efficient way to get up the mountain from Old buck lot compared to traversing over to GSM.

Awesome trail jumps are very well made but the last jump is pretty sketchy and if you case your bike you will get a flat so bring a spare tire.

I don't understand the negative ratings. I've seen this track ridden in a Boostmaster video. And it looks super raw, natural, chunky and gnarly. To each their own. But I love natural, primitive type tracks and sections, they're unique. This tracks on my wishlist 169%

Thanks for clarifying Joe, and for the good work on the trail. The drop is certainly more solid now and will last a while! Only problem is, I think, that it's done so well that it blends in and one (or i at least) can't tell that something has changed until one's right upon it (or below itWink . So I put the comment for anyone else who follows their old lines, like me and might get surprised. And yes, there is a good ride-around, as well as a line to roll it.

Danger: 3rd drop from the top had been modified and is now higher. I've ridden this trail 100s of times and never had a problem rollong over all drops. Now it seems that there's been some work on the 3rd one from the top and, if taken in the middle, it's become a mandatory jump. There is no warning, and the modification is not obvious from above. There is still an OK roll line on the side, but you have to know it. If you're not OK jumping it, it's best to approach with caution!

That line had been a mandatory drop for the majority of the trails history. The old log that supported the trail had rotted away (making it roll-able) and the trail was ready to collapse: m.pinkbike.com/photo/18368337

I cribbed in the drop with a new piece of cedar to retain the trail and bring it back to its former state. You can see what it used to look like in older photos: ep1.pinkbike.org/p6pb8209236/p6pb8209236.jpg

I may make it roll-able in the future, but the trail is a black and all the drops have ride-arounds.

Cool trail, but confusing for many reasons:
1. the map makes a short section of this trail part of the climbing route, which seems odd
2. there is an old fall line trail that follows the RR climber that has a tree at the top with a tiny sign that says "Applicator" in marker but seems to point in the opposite direction
3. there is no signage for the actual Applicator turnoff?

This section gps'ed on Seymour is mostly all rideable. The section from "Old Buck" to the Powerlines was upgraded last winter for an easier climb and is used a lot.

The descent portion from the powerlines to the "BP to Powerline Connector" was upgraded for the BC Bike Race. The trail after this point is not rideable, it gets very steep with steps. Once it hits "Bridle Path" its rideable again.
