Come one, come all to the penultimate round of the 2017 Idaho Enduro Series. The Wright Brothers Construction presented by Crank Brothers Bogus Basin Enduro is set to be a showdown for the ages. Many categories are separated by mere seconds and finale points are on the line. You have to earn that champagne shower!! We have an absolute superb course to showcase the best riding in the Boise area.

The race course will consist of 5 timed stages featuring close to 3500ft of climbing / descending over approximately 20 miles.

Race Details:

RIDERS WILL BEGIN WITH A TRANSFER UP THE CHAIRLIFT (DEER POINT) TO START THE RACE.
THE OTHER 2 TRANSFERS WILL OCCUR FROM THE BASE LODGE UP THE PAVED ROAD TO THE TOP LODGE.

Stage 1: Around the Mountain "Bermy DH"

"The Sweet, Bermy DH on ATM". This segment starts fast and flowy!! Rally the berms at the start of the segment. The stage then flattens out on a flowy section of trail featuring rocks, bridge crossings and tight corners. Enter the pain cave and don't stop pedaling until you reach the next section of road. Riders will then transition on Around the Mountain climbing towards the frontside of the mountain.

Stage 2: Around the Mountain "The Fun Ain't Done Yet"

After transitioning on Around the Mountain riders will come to another forest service road crossing, which will signal the start of Stage 2. The stage will start with a short punchy climb, before descending around the north side of the mountain. There are some tricky rock sections, berms, and more tight corners. Stay off the brakes!! The stage will end before the final climb out towards the upper lodge. Riders will then proceed on the final part of Around the Mountain towards the upper lodge and the start of Berm Baby Berm.

Stage 3: Berm Baby Berm

The newest addition to the trails at Bogus Basin - Berm Baby Berm is a flow style trail that rewards solid cornering and pumping technique (thatswhatshesaid). It also contains a heap of fun jumps, large berms and a few rocks thrown in for good measure.

After the stage, riders will transition towards the lodge for a transfer up the paved road on their way to the upper lodge.

Stage 4: Morningstar

A classic Bogus Basin DH! There is plenty of flow to be had here! Optional ladders, superb berms and off camber corners will keep riders on their toes.

Riders will transition past the lower lodge and UP Bogus Basin Road towards the upper lodge. Riders will ride through the dirt parking lot, past the nordic lodge and up the paved road. Continue past the upper lodge on the "pack trail' or cat track road with eyes set on the very top of the mountain and the superior chairlift. Riders will continue the transfer DOWN the first section of trail, wrapping around the face and up the short climb in the middle of the face trail

Stage 5:

Face > Elk Meadows > Deer Point

Another classic IES Top to Bottom segment!! This will prove pivotal to overall race time, buckle in and give it your all!

This stage will start midway down the face trail on the more DH section. Riders will proceed across the top access road and start the snakey Elk Meadows segment. Drift those corners and stay up right!! Proceed down Deer point for the last trail on the last segment of the last IES race!!!! Leave it all out there!!

Please plan on sticking around to enjoy FREE BEER (racers), Music, and Awards. The atmosphere will be fun for everyone! Invite your friends, maybe even your enemies as well!

The IES would like to thank all racers, sponsors and volunteers for a great season! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
