This is short and painful, but it's way better than Long Road to Ruin, which is long and painful.

This is a great trail to start to learn to ride steeps. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to progress. It's a ton of fun to blast down the coal and enjoy some techy chunder.

Long road to ruin, is literally a long road to ruin. You will be ruined. But you will also be ruined on Georgetown, only that's a much shorter road to ruin. Personally, I think Georgetown is the way to go. Neither way is pleasant

Long Road to Ruin is a great climb out of the valley after you have descended Odessa or Coal Chutes. Ignore anything “Bre-Dude” has posted, as he clearly hasn’t a clue.

It's a shit trail. All of these comments of it being great are paid employees of the nordic center.

Blue coal chutes IS fun. Don't f*cking exit to long road to ruin. Don't listen to anyone saying long road to ruin is both ways...that trail going in THAT direction is f-u-c-k-i-n-g horrid. I'm convinced the only sane way out of this area is georgetown interpretive.

Short but sweet, couple of tricky drops but nothing you don't see coming and can't walk around. One of my favourites!

There's no trail description so I'll add a little more. Coal Chures is literal! I had no idea until I found myself blastings down chutes of coal. It's a good trail if your starting to get used to steeps. Just point the bike down and hold on! The climb out from the bottom isn't too hard either. It's worth ditching some elevation to ride this!
