We are super excited to announce the 2018 Capitol Forest Enduro course on the new North Slope Trail System off of Hwy 8. These are not like any other trails in Capitol Forest. They were built by mountain bikers for mountain bikers. The best news of all is there is more to come! Hats off to Friends of Capitol Forest and Department of Natural Resources for working together to make the North Slope Trails happen.
The main entrance to the trail system is through Greys Harbor ORV Park (GHORV). Please be respectful when driving through their property. The speed limit is 5mph!
Leading up to the race there are two small pullouts at the bottom of A-Line and you can park along the road. You must have a Discover Pass.
Friday, June 8th parking will be available in our venue on GHORV property for 5$ per car. See www.racecascadia.com/2018capitolforest for camping details. (parking is built into camping fees)
Saturday, June 9th, parking is covered by Race Cascadia.
Due to DNR permitting, safety and trail impacts, shuttles will not be allowed for practice on June 8th. A 5 minute time penalty will be applied for any infractions.
Enduro Lite will do stages 3 and 1.
Transition 1: Racers will climb ORV Tie Trail to first road. At road take a right. While on the road you will pass a big gravel pit; continue on the road; next you will come to a huge pile of gravel, stay on the road to the left of the gravel. Just past the huge pile of gravel you will come to on opening. At the start of the opening take the road to the left. Approximately 100-150 feet down is an overgrown road. This is the start of the Enduro Lite Stage 3.
Stage 3: Lower Down 'n' Rowdy.
Transition 2: At the end of stage three go through the gate and take a left on the ORV Tie Trail. At the road turn left and follow it to the start of stage 1.
Stage 1: Bowfinger
Transition 3: Take a left on the road and a left through the gate and you will be at the main venue.
See www.racecascadia.com/2018capitolforest for schedule.
