Enduro Lite:
Stages 3 and 4

**Water will be located at the CP6/Stage 3 Start. Racers will come through twice. Once on their way out to the lollipop and after they complete the lollipop.

**It is going to be hot... We strongly recommend racers carry additional water. One water bottle will not do the job.

We are happy to announce the Raging River Enduro Lite Course Get ready to get your flow on!

Transfer 1: Leave Snoqaulmie Point Park via the access road (toggle map to satellite to see road) leading to Upward mobility. At the T take a RIGHT and Upward Mobility will be on your LEFT just up the road.

Climb Upward Mobility to Stan's Overlook. From Stan's continue to climb on Raging Ridge.

At Check Point 3 (Check Point 3 to 6 will be closed to 2-Way Traffic, decscending only) take a right onto the access road and continue to climb.

After Check Point 5 continue on the main road past a spur until you come to a Y. At the Y take a LEFT to continue on the main access road to Check Point 6.

Stage 3: CheckPoint 6 Raging Ridge to bottom of the alternative line (just before the climb). The alternative line will be taped off and not an option.

Transfer 2: Continue on Raging ridge trail to Stan’s Overlook. At the Stan's Overlook/Raging Ridge junction go RIGHT and continue to Poppin’ Top.

Stage 5: Poppin’Top/Flow State/Main Venue
*The Finish Line is in the Main Venue. After you pop out of Flow State turn LEFT on the road and then Right on the Main Venue Road for a loose, high speed-foot out flat turn and rip down to the finish line.

**Bonus Stage**
Stage 5 will be the Iron Horse Brewery Beer Garden. (for 21 & over)

Agree with jesperjo - it’s not green at this point. especially at the end of a ride. Chunky and bumpy is the wrong ways.

Can’t really rate this green any more. If you want to ride green trails you may want to stick to Duthie. The braking bumps have turned into massive pot holes in every berm and it’s pretty rough now.

Lower Poppin’ tops is in rough shape. You could almost hide a Volkswagen in some of the braking bumps at this point. Too many people need to learn to use their front brakes properly.

Re the comments about two way being dangerous, IMO that’s valid, but only for RR1.

I came across 3 groups of riders going up, one on a faster corner and they were mindful of the possibility of people going up and there was no issue. IDD you’re Worried about it, take the fire road for just that segment. Otherwise it’s a nice trail both ways, would be a shame to ride up the fire road and miss it.

This trail is really only fun if you are really good at climbing (and I am not the best). I kinda feel like it goes forever. I normally do all of Upward Mobility then Poppin' Tops and Flow state down, and personally I feel like the downhill doesn't balance out the climb. That is my thought on Upward Mobility. Really only fun if you are good at climbing and good with having a short downhill compared to the climbing...

I think the black diamond rating on this trail is responsible for the amount of complaints about CCDH being a blue. But just like CCDH, trail ratings are subjective so all anyone needs to know is that all the more difficult features are optional so it can be ridden as an intermediate if you choose. There's great sight-lines so even on a first run you'll know what you're in for. It's a great way to end your ride after hitting up the rest of the mountain.

If you take this slow, it’s totally doable for a more intermediate rider. You won’t have the fun of those great tabletop jumps, but you’ll manage just fine. Very flowy and fast (if you let it), but less technical than say Joyride in Tiger (which is just a blue)

Trail Raging Ridge
Biggest problem I have with this trail is that it's two-way. I was there on a busy day and almost got hit twice while climbing. It also took away from the fun while descending since I had to ride cautiously for fear of doing the same to other climbers. IMO the trail is not built very well for two-way use since lots of features allow for, or even promote, high speed descending. Other than that, it's a nice trail, and the view of Mt. Rainier is great. I actually bought a (Timber) bell after riding this trail, which I will use on two-way trails from now on. If I went back here I would at least ride the road up instead. Or maybe just run a few laps on Upward Mobility/Poppin' Tops/Flow State, which were lots of fun too.

The way the arrows are pointing, part of the downhill appears to be on the access road. Also, check point 3 says take a right on the access road. Does that mean that we're crossing the access road earlier (where you can turn left off Raging Ridge to get on the access road)?
[Reply]

racecascadia FOCF (Jul 21, 2018 at 8:46)
The arrows can be a bit misleading... But the only part of the race stages that are on the road are at the end of Flow State. You will take a gravel road all the way into the venue. You will cross all the access roads until you get to Checkpoint 3. If it helps everything will be clearly signed for the race.

One of the best beginner flow trails on the I-90 corridor. Great trail to pump downhill and get your speed fix. There is a fair amount of optional features to keep more advanced riders happy.

Smooth flow trail most of the way down. Bottom half is dusty and a bit more rocky. Bottom is also so overgrown you can't see more than 6 ft ahead, which is scary because people go up this trail as well.
