The first 5.5 or so miles up to where Return Policy crosses the road has a few sections with a lot of new gravel on the road. There are sections where either climbing up or descending you might want to use care to ensure you don't slide out. The last mile before the intersection with Return Policy has 2 good stinger climbs where the road gets really steep.

Trail Invictus
There are more awkward moves on Invictus than Predator and the trail is more technically challenging but it’s shorter, slower, and less physical.
Rode it in the rain this weekend and really enjoyed it. Classic BC-style tech - less smashy and more panache-y. Great work Evergreen.

mid section, flowy AF

Overall a great ride. If it's your first time I would take your time on the first rooty section. The middle section is hella fun with flowy jumps and turns and the last section has more berms and switchbacks.

Agree with jesperjo - it’s not green at this point. especially at the end of a ride. Chunky and bumpy is the wrong ways.

Can’t really rate this green any more. If you want to ride green trails you may want to stick to Duthie. The braking bumps have turned into massive pot holes in every berm and it’s pretty rough now.

Lower Poppin’ tops is in rough shape. You could almost hide a Volkswagen in some of the braking bumps at this point. Too many people need to learn to use their front brakes properly.

Re the comments about two way being dangerous, IMO that’s valid, but only for RR1.

I came across 3 groups of riders going up, one on a faster corner and they were mindful of the possibility of people going up and there was no issue. IDD you’re Worried about it, take the fire road for just that segment. Otherwise it’s a nice trail both ways, would be a shame to ride up the fire road and miss it.

This trail is really only fun if you are really good at climbing (and I am not the best). I kinda feel like it goes forever. I normally do all of Upward Mobility then Poppin' Tops and Flow state down, and personally I feel like the downhill doesn't balance out the climb. That is my thought on Upward Mobility. Really only fun if you are good at climbing and good with having a short downhill compared to the climbing...

I think the black diamond rating on this trail is responsible for the amount of complaints about CCDH being a blue. But just like CCDH, trail ratings are subjective so all anyone needs to know is that all the more difficult features are optional so it can be ridden as an intermediate if you choose. There's great sight-lines so even on a first run you'll know what you're in for. It's a great way to end your ride after hitting up the rest of the mountain.

If you take this slow, it’s totally doable for a more intermediate rider. You won’t have the fun of those great tabletop jumps, but you’ll manage just fine. Very flowy and fast (if you let it), but less technical than say Joyride in Tiger (which is just a blue)

Biggest problem I have with this trail is that it's two-way. I was there on a busy day and almost got hit twice while climbing. It also took away from the fun while descending since I had to ride cautiously for fear of doing the same to other climbers. IMO the trail is not built very well for two-way use since lots of features allow for, or even promote, high speed descending. Other than that, it's a nice trail, and the view of Mt. Rainier is great. I actually bought a (Timber) bell after riding this trail, which I will use on two-way trails from now on. If I went back here I would at least ride the road up instead. Or maybe just run a few laps on Upward Mobility/Poppin' Tops/Flow State, which were lots of fun too.

Gravel is REALLY thick and sloppy on the steeper grades on the lower sections. Tough riding

Trail No Service
A great varied descent, some good technical sections and some fun flow, but can’t say I’d recommend the final section after rain. The last section is steep switchbacks, and if this gets much use in the mud it’ll get run down pretty fast. Ride with care and enjoy.

Lots of ruts on this trail be careful. I hit a jump and landed in one and went over the handle bars it was so deep.

I'm surprised and quite honestly frustrated that the pro/expert course is the same as sport. Isn't there a reason there are different categories? As a sport racer I'm concerned about safety. Invictus is a double black diamond that's been called the "gnarliest legal trail in Washington" by many sources. I've never even considered riding it as an intermediate rider. Why is it a mandatory part of a Sport class race? Not to mention the complaints the pros/experts are going to have about my kind clogging it up by walking sections....

Instead of doing all of return policy it would be nice to take the road back to stage 4, it would eliminate some unnecessary climbing.

One of the best beginner flow trails on the I-90 corridor. Great trail to pump downhill and get your speed fix. There is a fair amount of optional features to keep more advanced riders happy.

This may be my new favorite trail! Endless grip in the berms and it is super fast.

Trail No Service
Definitely one of the best trails in the area. Wonderfull descend to the backside of the ridge after the long climb up. Starts with a up down through a logged area, followed by a technical DH though the forest and leading into a back up local small version of "A line" until the trails lead into nice steep DH again. climb back up with 45 switchbacks.

Trail Raging Ridge
Smooth flow trail most of the way down. Bottom half is dusty and a bit more rocky. Bottom is also so overgrown you can't see more than 6 ft ahead, which is scary because people go up this trail as well.
