6/5/17 and 6/6/17
A YEP trail crew removed hazard stumps from the tread, from the top of the saddle, down. From the BLM/FS boundary, they brushed out over growth, created drip drains and Grade Reversals, plus reconstructed 80 feet of a trail bench.
After the trail crews efforts, the cows were released for grazing. The top is post holed, but riding well. The lower is in better shape and rolling fast.
SCA crews rerouted the connector trail from the picnic area to Williams creek crossing. They created rock and wood stair cases that are rideable on decents, and possibly be able to climb if you have skills. No matter what, it's fun. They also widened and brushed out the trail on the other side of the creek. A mtb volunteer removed the abandoned barb wire fence and connected the upper and lower sections. The trail is riding great, with exceptions of cattle damage to the tread.
