Trail Serenity
FYI- lower section of Serenity between Lower Queen Bess and Down and Out is currently closed for construction. It appears they are either rerouting that section of trail or building a new one.

I think this is the best trail at Solitude. I'm a middle of the road intermediate rider, if that and the overall difficulty of this trail seems a lot less than Serenity. I can do small drops which got me through 80% if the drops. The only really tough part I thought was right before the trail meets the road. Lots of baby heads, mini drops and loose stuff. But so much fun up above. Good to challenge yourself in some tech ups, and lots of really fun flow!

Kruzr is a fun downhill trail with rock features and tree roots. Moderate technical riding. Definitely not a black diamond trail. Some loose rocky sections that are more sketchy. Couple of short climbs along the trail. Fun trail and good riding!

Trail ratings are LOCAL. Relative to nearby trails this is the hardest one at Solitude (Honeycomb excepted), so deserves the black rating so tourists don't kill themselves. It is clearly explained in the trail description.

I agree with NSmith. I have a joint condition and I didn't have any problems getting down this trail. A solid intermediate rider would be ok riding this trail.. Just watch for hikers on the upper portion, coming up from Silver Lake. After that intersection, I didn't see a single person. There are several small climbs along the way. Just an FYI that it isn't a constant downhill.

The Solitude placed signs say this trail is "black". I usually just ride "blue" trails but decided to try this one anyway since I climbed the hill before learning it was classified as "black". I did not struggle to get down it but it was the least fun I have had descending 1000ft. Probably because it was not the trail I was expecting it to be.

It's marked as a "Blue" here on Trailforks right now, but I would say might even be a "Black". Not a very hard Black, but I think some of the steeper root sections would give a true Intermediate pause.

Fun trail though, just watch out for the two uphills if you have your seat down and your gears up in downhill mode.
