Freeze-thaw cycle. Thin snow pack. Variable conditions. Packed snow, soft icy crust, mud. Get off by early afternoon.

Melting snow made for muddy spots, especially in the top 1/3 to 1/4 of the trail, especially tricky in the switchbacks. Climbing not recommended, descent rides are sketchy and probably shouldn't happen unless trail dries out more or risk of trail damage.
