Course 4 & 8:
Short Course: Starting from the picnic area pavilion, go behind lodge and out SP--> SP to a Lt. on FT--> FT to a Rt. On Bog Trail--> Lt. on FBT--> at the end of FBT take cabin road, cross overlook and take NP--> NP all the way back, crossing in front of guard shack, come out by overlook and finish back at pavilion.

Long Course: Same start as short, but going straight on FT taking Rt. On FBT (heading towards O’shan Point)--> at point take MM--> at first Sinks crossing turn Rt. And go down and through the sinks, up and out to closed road, cross closed road, and up cold springs to NP where it will rejoin the short course and finish same as SC.

Detailed Description
2018 SORBA-Hsv TTT#4&8 - Long Course is a 6 mile expert race route located near Huntsville Alabama. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 14 trails. This route climbs 500 ft with a max elevation of 1,620 ft then descends -495 ft.

Not sure why this trail is a black diamond seemed extremely flat to me. I got on from sinks so maybe the beginning is harder

Yea, the southern half of Mountain Mist has a different character than the trail from sinks to the closed road. there's some tougher moves over rocks on the southern half that the northern half just doesn't have.

I apologize for the lack of specificity - I forgot that there are two Mountain Mist/Sinks intersections. The obstacle tree is on Mtn Mist, south of the southern Mist/Sinks intersection.

This was a great trail for the whole family to ride. Surprisingly dry after several days of rain. Well marked.
