Ride like King with Giant Bicycles.

Small change to the maps and course release this year. You can see the full route, but stage starts and finishes are going blind. There will still be the same three stages as all past years, they will be of the same variety and flavour. No we won't be adding in any massive amounts of uphill timed climbing, but they might just be a wee bit.

Apres will be located at Giant Bicycle Canada Offices located at: #100-2255 Dollarton Hwy, North Vancouver.

Reminder of our 200 rider cap. See the event page linked to this route for the full sponsor and event details.

If something is beyond your ability, just walk or ride something else. Your own dismal abilities don't set the bar for everyone. Many regular riders can ride gap jumps. "Pro's only" is a ridiculous thing to say. Is any trail that's too hard for you mean it's only for pro's? Have you compared the trail to the riding in other towns? Your ego needs to be smaller if you think every trail needs to be dialled back to fit your own level of riding. This is the reason unsanctioned trails get built.

Any plans to do this trail rideable from Hyannis to forever after area? Would open a new world of possibilities! I’m in to help build something to make this climb good enough to not want to die

This was a great trail but the recent changes made leading up to the re-opening of the trail today have made it un-rideable unless you’re a pro. This is no longer a single black. Jumps are gaps, there are huge hips with no ride arounds.

Every jump is rollable. The hip has a ride around. A few mods are bring made now to make sure the trail follows the guidelines to remain a "black diamond"

I agree. this little trail may have some big jumps that one could get huge air from, but you can certainly ride the whole thing with both wheels on the ground at all times (if I recall correctly). I don't know how to do jumps yet (well, the landing part, I guess), so I just roll them and pump my legs and it's all good. fast and fun. it's a different flavour from the rest of the mountain.

It's being maintained right now, but they're fixing up the entire trail! All the jump are proper gaps, there are some shark-fins, and the hop is massive!

Absolutely fantastic trail, one of my favourite on the shore with some classic shore features. Lots of rides arounds.

Should probably be a single black trail. Nothing steep or too janky, just a couple mandatory 1-3 ft drops and the iconic tree ride over the ravine.

A bit stiff, but also the fastest ride to the top of corkscrew or CBC, IMO. Good Sir Martin is more twisty and detours out of the way, and straight up Buck cuts off a loop on Mtn. Highway. GSM is good for the second lap, since you are already over near Academy, etc.

Thanks for clarifying Joe, and for the good work on the trail. The drop is certainly more solid now and will last a while! Only problem is, I think, that it's done so well that it blends in and one (or i at least) can't tell that something has changed until one's right upon it (or below itWink . So I put the comment for anyone else who follows their old lines, like me and might get surprised. And yes, there is a good ride-around, as well as a line to roll it.

Danger: 3rd drop from the top had been modified and is now higher. I've ridden this trail 100s of times and never had a problem rollong over all drops. Now it seems that there's been some work on the 3rd one from the top and, if taken in the middle, it's become a mandatory jump. There is no warning, and the modification is not obvious from above. There is still an OK roll line on the side, but you have to know it. If you're not OK jumping it, it's best to approach with caution!

That line had been a mandatory drop for the majority of the trails history. The old log that supported the trail had rotted away (making it roll-able) and the trail was ready to collapse: m.pinkbike.com/photo/18368337

I cribbed in the drop with a new piece of cedar to retain the trail and bring it back to its former state. You can see what it used to look like in older photos: ep1.pinkbike.org/p6pb8209236/p6pb8209236.jpg

I may make it roll-able in the future, but the trail is a black and all the drops have ride-arounds.

I rode Boogieman today for the first time in years. It was awesome! When I rode it last a few years ago it seemed as if it had been forgotten and was kinda sketchy. Now its got great woodwork and the lines are all maintained. I felt like I was ripping the old school gnar but on a modern bike and the trail had properly built wood. Right on!

Solo night ride last night (Nov 18th) at the junction with mushroom, a very ballsy coyote was approaching just before dropping into Upper Severed. I backed away slowly and eventually put enough distance between us I felt comfortable riding off.
