Small change to the maps and course release this year. You can see the full route, but stage starts and finishes are going blind. There will still be the same three stages as all past years, they will be of the same variety and flavour. No we won't be adding in any massive amounts of uphill timed climbing, but they might just be a wee bit.

Post Race apres will be held at Norco John Henry Bikes, 400 Brooksbank Ave, North Vancouver.

Please note that there will be a cap of 200 riders for each Fiver.

The Fast-track line will ONLY be available for those who have purchased the Fiver season Pass and have their own Timing Chip.

trail is closed at the bottom due to construction. so presumably closed at the top, too! NSMBA indicated not too long ago that some changes were going to made, i hope to hell it isn't turned into another Upper Dales.... Ned's is an old school classic.

Rode a section of this today for the first time. Climbed GSM and wanted to get to Forever After, so we took Baden Powell. BP to Severed D was pretty fun. More black than blue, in my opinion. From Severed towards Forever it got even steeper and more treacherous. You've been warned!

I agree with @beestrangler. Its a dark blue. Some steep bits and tight turns that really test my nerves. I'm a beginner riding hardtail, and as I get better this trail won't be as intimidating. Still, no regrets!! I'll be back.

A bit stiff, but also the fastest ride to the top of corkscrew or CBC, IMO. Good Sir Martin is more twisty and detours out of the way, and straight up Buck cuts off a loop on Mtn. Highway. GSM is good for the second lap, since you are already over near Academy, etc.

Thanks for clarifying Joe, and for the good work on the trail. The drop is certainly more solid now and will last a while! Only problem is, I think, that it's done so well that it blends in and one (or i at least) can't tell that something has changed until one's right upon it (or below itWink . So I put the comment for anyone else who follows their old lines, like me and might get surprised. And yes, there is a good ride-around, as well as a line to roll it.

Danger: 3rd drop from the top had been modified and is now higher. I've ridden this trail 100s of times and never had a problem rollong over all drops. Now it seems that there's been some work on the 3rd one from the top and, if taken in the middle, it's become a mandatory jump. There is no warning, and the modification is not obvious from above. There is still an OK roll line on the side, but you have to know it. If you're not OK jumping it, it's best to approach with caution!

That line had been a mandatory drop for the majority of the trails history. The old log that supported the trail had rotted away (making it roll-able) and the trail was ready to collapse: m.pinkbike.com/photo/18368337

I cribbed in the drop with a new piece of cedar to retain the trail and bring it back to its former state. You can see what it used to look like in older photos: ep1.pinkbike.org/p6pb8209236/p6pb8209236.jpg

I may make it roll-able in the future, but the trail is a black and all the drops have ride-arounds.

canadaka Trailforks (Aug 28, 2014 at 12:56)
This section gps'ed on Seymour is mostly all rideable. The section from "Old Buck" to the Powerlines was upgraded last winter for an easier climb and is used a lot.

The descent portion from the powerlines to the "BP to Powerline Connector" was upgraded for the BC Bike Race. The trail after this point is not rideable, it gets very steep with steps. Once it hits "Bridle Path" its rideable again.

most trails on shore are technical rocky trails that are slower steeper or more dificult, which is fun! But Neds is fun because its also fast.
