They were removed by CRD as they were blocking emergency vehicle access to sofa king. The intention is to rebuild the table top off to one side…

What happened to the tabletop and the little kicker to flat? Might need to change the description if the tabletop is removed. Seems odd to remove a feature that could easily be ridden around.

This is a freaking hard trail to push up, big respect to those of you can pedal it. Trail condition was fantastic even in frozen ground today.

This access to the regional trail is not in CRD lands, it runs through private property and the trail are not maintained. Access to and from the regional trail is best from Robb Place.

I love the updates. It flows so much better whether you are coming from little face or climbing don't ask don't tell. The less time on double track the better. Also they fixed a previously flat (flat to off camber) corner.

Trail Southridge
Upper part of this trail (where it meets Dave's line) is great. The trail fairies did an awesome job. Super fun until it meets with fun trail and turns off. The rest seems a waste of elevation. Some rocky (somewhat steep) portions followed by smooth boring trail with grown in salal and weeds. Fun trail is way better, or fun trail to Sofa King if you want something a bit smoother.

Trail Northridge
Upper Northridge trail there is a cedar tree very low to the ground, it hangs over the trail. if you are looking down at the trail and have a helmet on with visor, you can miss this and do a proper head injury to yourself.
I would say it is about 6 feet above the trail.

This is fun. I’m more a fan of old-school tech and jank, but I like this trail from time to time when I feel like going fast and high.

Word of warning: make sure you know what the words “sofa king” sound like when said out loud before talking about the trail loudly in front of kids and their parents!! Good way to get stern looks Wink

One of my favorites. You have to go through a litter climb to get to it but after you do that its all downhill. Would recommend this to everyone in skill level. Just remember to use both brakes????????????????

Yup - you are partly right. Presently the trail doesn't present many double black options because the original line is hardly ridden any more. The exposed downhill ledge and the larger drop at the end are double black. There are two unused double black optional drops midway that are double black also (>1.3m high).
So do we change the rating and sign the higher difficulty features, or keep the rating and restore the trail to what it once was? Personally I vote for the latter.

Great trail! One of my Hartland favourites. Lots of great features on this trail (especially the final third). Correct that the ride-arounds are a bit more worn in than the more challenging line on the lower part of the trail. Have a look, hit the features!
