The Intermediate Course is a pumped-up recreational course incorporating the Paluma Dam loop and an awesome forest single track loop (Loop 2) about 5km after the dam to test your technical skill level.

If you've done the 42km Recreational Course before and are looking to further challenge your mountain bike skills, then the Intermediate Course is for you. It’s hard work but will be rewarding.

This course is recommended for experienced riders with a good level of fitness and a competent skill level for single track sections.

Note: Cut off time applies at Check Point 4. Any riders not passed Check Point 4 in 2hrs and 45 minutes will be required to move onto the 42km course and listed as DNF.

2019 Mike Carney Toyota Paluma Push 53km is a 33 mile intermediate race route located near Paluma. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 3 trails. This route climbs 2,679 ft with a max elevation of 3,223 ft then descends -3,447 ft.

Nothing too exciting. Bit damp.Not very scenic. Little challenge, but initial rooty snd rocky uphill was fun and had to work hard. Could have been better sign posted. Long drive for nothing really exciting. Drive there was more fun. Twisty and turny and narrow
