Fernie is a historic mountain town founded in 1898. Fernie is located in southeast British Columbia, Canada and is completely surrounded by the Canadian Rocky Mountains. With an extensive and ever-growing number of trails you will no doubt find your perfect ride in Fernie; most you can access right from town.

Mountain biking has become a year-round sport in Fernie with the addition of fat biking during the snowy months. April/May is the start of mountain bike season and goes right to the end of October, then fat (snow) biking starts in November until end of March. Explore Fernie's 110+ trails - primarily singletrack, in summer play at the Dirt Jump & Skills Park or head to Fernie Alpine Resort's Lift Access Bike Park.

2019 TransRockies Classic - Stage 7: Crowsnest Pass to Fernie is a 52 mile intermediate race route located near Coleman Alberta. This mountain bike only route and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 8 trails. This route climbs 8,166 ft with a max elevation of 7,237 ft then descends -9,299 ft.
