This extended route leaves the main loop at about the half mile mark at the Noanet Woodlands signpost. Following mostly easy singletrack and lots of fun doubletrack, this loop earns the rider lots of great riding in both parks.

At the signed split marked "Rocky Woods Extension" take the intermediate flow trail down to Noanet Woodlands. Turn right at the trail intersection and follow the blue blazes for a bit until you come to signs to Noanet Peak. I prefer to go around the peak but it's worth the climb if interested. After passing Noanet Peak, pick up the Larabee Trail (Orange Blazes) and follow this trail to Walpole Street at Cedar Hill Road. Follow Cedar Hill Road to High Rock Road and pick up the trail at the end of High Rock. You are now in Rocky Woods.

Ridge and Quarry Trails are my favorites. A super fun option is to cross Hartford Street again at the Rocky Woods Parking area and head over to Fork Factory Brook Reservation for a quick fun loop around their pond and woodland area. If you are this close, it's worth the ride. All singletrack but not too technical.

Once you are done with Fork Factory, go back to the parking area and pick up the trail signed for Noanet Woodland. These easement trails are super fun singletrack that run behind some spectatular houses. You will connect to the Powissett Farm trail called the Woods Trail. Bikes are not allowed on the farm area itself but seem accepted on the singletrack in the woods. The Woods trail will take you back to the main arrowed loop on the southern portion of Hale Reservation. Follow the arrows back to Registration.
