Love the new, large log-over! Totally fits the flow of the trail.

This is a fun xc trail for both beginners and those who want to challenge themselves at speed. Nothing scary, unless you are screaming along at a good fast pace.

My ridelog says otherwise but still. There's nothing technical on this trail. Just because a climb is steep doesn't make it a double black. There are zero tech sections, no drops over maybe 6", no root sections, no jumps, etc.

Side Piece is now called “Parallel Reality”, and is fully signed at the trail heads. New name; same awesome trail. Keep enjoying it!

Someone reversed the direction of this trail. It should ride the opposite

The original name was perfect, and I'm quite sure there's a sign up hanging on the entrance trees? Sec Sea

No it wasn't perfect enough according to the land manager...the alternate was supplied by the trail builder, so we're good to go there? The name is indeed related to one of ists. Times have changed and so will names as we learn and know better?

Trail name changed? It wasn't sexist or misogynist or feminist or any other "ist", why are stupid names being made??

Trust me I won’t, I’m one hundred percent on your side about the skidding it drives me nuts, I’ve done riddum a number of times and love it! Yes those little air features are prefect to spice it up!

Best part about this trail is though it is rather hard it does not require a crazy expensive bike.

Very fun trail! Few techy bits that are very fun going the downhill direction. Trail gets more enjoyable as you get to know it better, would be way better with a couple little air features to spice it up.

Try Riddum for some spicy air opportunities. Crackhouse trail would be way better if ppl stopped dragging their rear tires! There's already a couple of places where you can pump out some air if you're creative, but please don't be that guy who digs holes right beside the trail to make features.

I agree there are a couple slippy off camber bits and a bunch of short punchy climbs. Nothing technical at all though, and nothing serious downhill wise. One small surprise double near the start that you’ll either want a bit of speed to clear or take it super slow to roll the trough. This is much easier overall than “The Ridge” in the Don Valley, which is a blue.

YMBA did some trail work on Shloppy today (Aug30) to deal with some problem spots and create new flow lines. Soil is soft following the work done.

That was a B-line that was added, the original line is still there, as technical (I'd call it a proline between those two trees) as ever!

Just like @dangaras mentioned, it's a technical trail with quite a few sketchy and off-camper section where you barely get traction. It's tough to maintain good flow all throughout. Definitely a workout to clear it without getting off the bike!

Awesome new trail. Kudos to the trail fairies. Lots of off camber stuff, sweet twists and turns. Definitely a lung burner. Nothing very technical, but tons of up and down to keep your legs firing!

Alrighty then! Very cool, very new trail that is definitely above a blue. It's a black diamond in effort and in features.

Very nice routing, some sketchy off camber sections, drops Anna punchy climbs. Took a lot of effort and concentration fire me to clean it riding it blind.

Saw & passed quite a few riders who had to hike a bike to get through it.

Cheers to the builders.
