Agree with above. After riding out of the blue I was surprised by the amount of flow in this trail. Id say it’s easier overall than OOTB but with a handful of more consequential features (most offer ride around options) that bring this trail up to double black rating

Some good moves, nothing incredibly difficult but holy shit it is sustained! Burner for sure

The trail name is a reference to The Price Is Right and it's host Bob Barker, who was born in Darrington.

Awesome trail. Definitely ranked on the Canadian scale, as should be, everything a black trail should be and nothing more. Steep, rooty, and consistent. Rides like the Bellingham trails that are not on the map.

Tech trail to the core this trail as of 06/21/21 is a challenge its steep but the chute have wet tree roots on them there are about 5 drop 2 massive one after the last road crossing if you want to make this a double black that will do it. The upper is super tech lower part is flow tech in all darrington has 2 of the best trails in Washington skyline and this gem jackpot as well so maybe that's 3! Check my channel if you want to see the hole trail chuncky tech doctor on YouTube

Pedaled up like a chump from Beverly gate, though I got two ride offers along the way. Long but mellow if you’re into that, but shuttle w a DH rig is the way to go. Cool lookout tower being renovated on top. As for the trail itself - so damn good! More of a BC feel/rating than most of WA, in the best way possible. Techy and rough cut but you can let er rip. Tons of whippable turns, infinite places to air it out, and well designed so I was never surprised when I chanced a few bigger blind hits. Took the optional hard lines and didn’t think they were much of a step up from the rest of the trail fwiw. Go for it

Such a sick trail, lots of different zones as you descend, the trail has it all

This trail is a root-littered high-speed loam fest. Not for the faint of heart and pretty sketchy if it rains. Off-camber is standard with tons of places to wash out. Expect your buddies riding behind you to fall. Go out and get it while it's still gnarly.

I’ve road this since it was being built, I saw the trail transform into what it is now. I’ll tell you this only once, you will love it. The best dh you can find anywhere near Darington, and the long ride out there is totally worth it.

Proper raw singletrack trail, it felt like I was on some epic BC trail. Trickiness wise, this is more of a double black trail than a black trail.

While "Showcase Showdown" is a super lame name, the trail is b*tching with some good moves. I wouldn't say it is any harder than Jackpot, just different.

They filled the double in with logs! Not sure if it would be worse to come up short on logs or in the hole that used to be there. This trail is awesome!

Such a good trail! The top has some great sketchy bits with lots of tech and flow mixed together in that classic Connelly building style.

I was happy to see that There’s an excavator parked at the end where I hope they are going to soon be pushing on to finish the trail at the little skills park that was built initially. w

Out of the Blue is a proper downhill trail! With the exception of North Shore features, if you want it, you get it. Doubles, drops, berms, rock rolls, STEEP hairpin 180's, you name it. The top third is still pretty roughly cut-in and presents different challenges due to this condition. I highly recommend riding it soon to take advantage of this particular sketch factor.

This is the new standard! The best tech dh around and big vert will make the big shuttle trip all worth every second.
