The Transition Bikes CDC: Yacolt Burn Enduro Sport course

Few changes from previous years.
1. No more road climb to the towers. After racers pop out at the Thrillium parking lot they will take the new two-way trail called Beargrass to the start of stage 1.
2. The Upper Cold Creek trail will tie into the Sixth Sense Connector for stage 1.
3. Lower Cold Creek will finish up the trail a bit from previous years to remove the pedally bottom section.

Feed Station and evo Neutral Support will be at the bottom of Sixth Sense.

Spectators have easy access to the bottom of Stages 2.

Trail Top Top
Steep and loose, black/blue, super fun, hold on tight and be ready for baby head sized rocks all over

So is lower CC the first stage, the climb to top?

So the first climb is to the top, and first descent is the upper cold creek and then sixth sense? Followed by murphy's/lower cold creek? When following the elevation/distance map it shows lower cold creek is first?

Tough climb, but it has gotten me in pretty good shape. Have yet to see anyone descending on this trail. Good one for those like me who find the fire road boring, and want a mellower warm up before getting their ass kicked.

A shady alternative to climbing the fire road. Starts off mellow but the second half will kick your ass. If climbing up the second half, definitely look out for descenders skipping the first half of lower Cold Creek who will be flying down the trail.

Awesome enduro trail with rocks, roots, and flowy berms with the occasional jump and drop thrown in. Like lower Cold Creek but with less tech and fewer and smaller jumps.

Don’t climb this trail. It should be downhill only. Aside from how steep it is in spots, there are several blind corners and jumps.

Can people stop riding up this? Realize that folks are coming down at a good clip.... Don't want to ruin anyone's day.

It's like the builder's goal was to create an enduro stage with everything great that the PNW has to offer. Seriously fun.

This trail is a lot of fun! After some in our group got more than they bargained for on the upper half of Cold Creek, we decided to hit this trail up to finish our descent. If you want steep and technical, this isn't for you, but if you like jumps and flow, it's great. The builders did a great job, with a section of bermy goodness in the "middle" of the trail that is something to behold. Next time out I would climb the road (Murphy's Grade sucks IMO), and ride this and/or the lower half of Cold Creek depending on who I was with and what type of trail I was after.

Can't say I really enjoyed this trail. It's obvious this was not a purpose-build MTB climbing trail. It's super rocky, but what I found most annoying were the many sections that are very steep, and with no switchbacks - just straight up, up, up. It's only real upside, vs the road, is that it is shaded. Still, next time I think I would just suffer on the road.

An absolute classic blue trail. Intermediate features but fun for every rider. Can be ridden as fast or as slow as you like and has enough interest to make it rideable dozens of times a season. Graded perfectly!
