I rode this last year and came back to it yesterday. Enjoyed the climb, the descent trail (Comfortably Numb Descent) not so much. I agree with a lot of what was said above. I wasn’t expecting a downhill trail, having ridden this before. What I didn’t recall was just how rocky and rooty this is. There is not an inch of the trail that is not covered in rocks and roots. Made it tough to get any flow at all for me. Could be lack of skill but XC trails like Business Time seem a lot nicer to ride to me. If you don’t mind being jostled relentlessly this could be the trail for you!

This doesn’t really feel like a “descent” trail. I agree with the others that say it’s more like an XC trail. It’s very flat and pedally through rock gardens and over roots between the rock roll descent parts. Lots of punchy climbs. Cool trail if you know what you’re getting into, but you will be disappointed if you are expecting a mostly down, very little pedalling, descent.

Rides quite well. Some of the switchbacks are a bit steep but aside from that no significant complexity on the uphill

The rock faces are quite nice, on the easy side of black. Lots of roots and when not, lots of rocks. One of these trails where you won't get the luxury to tell yourself "I'm done with the uphill", which after a while gets a bit tiresome to my taste

On the easy side of black. The biggest challenge is probably cleaning the short uphills. I definitely prefer trails with more continuous downhill, but if this is your style you'll love it!

Hey - I left my 100% S3 sunglasses on a rock at top of the Yummy climb Blue frame/coral lens. Let me know if you picked them up? Thx

Not my cup of tea, lots of janky short climbs after very short fun downhills, feels like 5 seconds of down, 20 seconds flat/up.
I'd say its great for someone who likes XC style trails. Not great if you want to get stuck into a consistent decent

it will be slippery on the roots and rocks, but you probably won't do any damage to the trail since it's pretty hard surfaced with lots of rock

A different climbing trail could make this trail world famous.

If you like old skool and you like jank, this one's for you. A few fun rock rolls with lots of pedaling in between.

Really cool trail. Mostly a series of rock rolls of different sizes with some pedaling between each.

What a way to finish Comfortably Numb! You find out if you have any gas in the tank and if you do, what fun! I love this trail! It's as advertised and I have found it is a good barometer of my progression in fitness (esp. core strength) and skills over the years. First time I did it, I got to this section and thought, you've got to be kidding. Totally kicked my butt but now gets more fun every year for me.

One of my favorites in whistler, with my usual way being to ride up yummy Mumby. This route allows for extensions too by riding up to golden door and around the numb loop

The single track climbing is excellent! Not a huge fan of a couple of the transfer road sections, the climb is rewarded with an awesome downhill trail "Comfortably Numb foreplay decent"

adamr1 is sooo right. This is truly one of the best trails that is so close to the village. Good climb up that is very much worth the pain.

One of the best longer descents in Whistler. Black tech with rock rolls along the way.
