The Transition Bikes YES NW: Tiger Mt Enduro Intermediate course.

Course:
Stages must be done in order 1 thru 4.

Support:
Aid Station, food/water and neutral support will be located at the bottom of Stage 2.

Spectators:
There is no vehicle access past the gate in the lower parking lot and makes it a challenge to spectate races at Tiger. However, if you're up for a bike ride or hike you can access all the finish lines via Master Link, Crossover Road and NW Timber Trail. The easiest would be to take NW Timber out to the Bottom of Stage 3: Joyride. After your racer comes through you can continue on NW Timber to the road, take a right and follow the road to the end of Stage 4: The Legend. Then just head back the way you came. *Please do not go down or up a race stage on a bike. Please stay off the trail when spectating.

About 6” of snow at the top off trail. The trail was not too bad, but definitely a slow cautious ride.

Trail Joy Ride
1st time at Tiger yesterday and I found this to be perfect for my skill level. I have never hit any tech nearly this gnarly, I'm surprised to see people complaining about flat turns. Watch some youtube and work on your flat cornering skills my fellow shredders. This is up there with being my favorite tech trail behind The Legend. I honestly thought this is a solid blue coming from someone who hasn't hit nearly any tech trails (flows really well too). Definitely a must ride for confident 1st timers at Tiger!

Trail Off The Grid
For me, I also found this trail to be more blue-ish, similar to Chipmunk Rebellion in Whistler. However, I did ride it in excellent and very dry conditions. It has enough tech features to earn its black rating, if you hit them fast and high and in the wet. Regardless, it’s super fun!

The root ball from the description seems like it is supposed to have a landing (looking at older pics,) but now that's eroded away.

Downed tree that you need to climb over less than a quarter mile from top of the summit.

A bit wet and muddy in a few places but a blast nonetheless.

Trail Quick Link
Call me crazy, but I really love Quick Link. After a master link, many go left up the fire road, which is more direct, but QL is fun, short, and a nice little reward for finishing ML. Great trail. Includes a bit more uphill tech and features than ML.

Quite the slog up but makes you feel like you earn your descent down. The forest is beautiful and there is waterfall and other water features like the rest of the park. Very beautiful trail!

Trail Joy Ride
This trail was pretty muddy today. I’m mostly a progressing beginner so I stick to blue runs and found the technical features on this run a bit beyond my ability. I definitely had to walk on the super steep sharp corners and some rocky spots but there was definitely plenty of trail in between for me to have lots of fun. I’ll come back again for some more when it dries out

Joy ride is one of the best trails out there pin it and tell me it's not one of the best if you can't ride the trail its all good flat turns are part of biking ? I'm confused on how you dont think this is top of the lists there is not alot of blues better sst? Atomic dog skyline? There all just as good joyride is fantastic trail and a must hit tech for days flow as well with drops and chuck. And please don't tell me what to do ok if you can't read my crap texts then leave it alone calling someone out and talking crap on a app is a bit ridiculous.

Awkward flat turns a no rhythm at all for the first half. Gets more fun further on. Fully disagree with chunky-tech-doctor about being a top blue. And on that note, please put a little more effort into sentence formation and punctuation if you are going to make a point of reviewing a lot of trails in the area. It’s hard to take you seriously.

Honestly kind of confused about this trail. I get that they are trying to keep all the natural features such as roots, rocks, and drops but for how popular this trail is it needs way more work. Smooth out some of the flow sections, clean up the rock lines, and this trail would definitely be a 5/5

Well crafted climbing trail! Gets you off the road and into the forest and shade. It’s beautiful in there, and the trail rides well- engaging enough to make the climbing a part of your ride rather than just a waiting period

Pretty fun trail when it's dry, but holds moisture more than others so if it's wet I'd not bother. When it's dry and fast there's plenty of room for creativity if you maintain speed.

Trail Fully Rigid
This trail tends to be fairly unpopular in alot of comments and videos I've seen. I get it: there's alot of tech, not a ton a flow. But besides the fact that Fully Rigid has a strategic place in the trail system, it's a cool trail. Slow down, enjoy the tech. It would be a shame to see this replaced with a very blue square. It's over before you know it, just a quarter mile long.

Trail Off The Grid
This trail is loaded with obstacles, drops, off camber roots and rock gardens. There are several drops with tricky rock placement that could easily throw you off; intermediate riders may struggle conquering them all at first.
No one cares if you think it’s a blue or black; this trail is wicked fun, just go and ride it!

IMO it depends how fast you hit it. I can scare myself on this trail, or I can pick my way down. If I do the former, it's a black, esp. if I take all the side hits and try to air things. Anyone could poke their way down though, so that does make it more of a "dark" blue trail.

Trail Off The Grid
"Anyone could poke their way down" means it really shouldn't be black.

Especially after the trail maintenance this year, there are no mandatory gaps or drops, there is no section where you can't come to a complete stop without issue, and the trail still works just fine if you aren't able to carry speed.

Remy Metailler can find 40 foot gaps with sniper landings on blue trails in Whistler Bike Park, that doesn't make them pro lines.

The bottom part of Off The Grid has little flow and is to filled with switchbacks to flat sections.

This really is an amazing trail. I'd love to get down there again and ride the new Predator trail.

My only concern with the Tiger mountain riding area is the difficulty ratings seem to be a bit inflated. This trail feels squarely like an Intermediate, and nothing that I saw from POV videos makes Predator look like a double black. But maybe that's a good thing if it keeps unprepared people off the trails? shrug

A pleasant XC ride that is a main link to the rest of the East Tiger trail system. If doing a shorter loop, then NTT will be your entrance and your exit. If doing a longer day by riding up the fire road to the East Summit, then NTT is your exit trail back to the parking lot.

Overall, NTT is rated Green, but it still has a few sections that will challenge novice riders. I've yet to see anyone successfully ride the big root ball in the uphill (East) direction. And same root ball in the downhill (West) direction back to parking lot is definitely a Blue trail feature. Roll it or drop it, and don't look down to your left! Also, the rock garden near the West end of the trail is more challenging riding uphill (heading West).

I haven't seen anyone clear that root ball on the trail. If anyone has a video of them doing it I'd love to see. IMO it is a expert feature, definitely not blue.

Overall experience, didn't like NW Timber very much. Almost no descent/downhill sections. A lot of climbing, including very steep sections that pop of nowhere (eg. right after a rocky/rooty patch).
