Trail Angry M
I feel like the comments here are a bit misleading. From Seattle I-90 corridor, this trail felt like a classic tech black to me. Most of trail fall line, with steep top section and flatter lower. No huge berms, but the turns have plenty to dig into to maintain speed. Creates an absolutely sweet trail where you can haul, using roots as doubles and taking alternate lines to hop over tech. Though there are no super technical features (no rock rolls or big jumps), I thought it was an amazing “flowy tech” trail through super pretty woods.

Trail Somewhere Over There
I tried several options to access this trail.
If you got an EBike or powerful legs, I would recommend this route: www.komoot.com/tour/945904571?ref=aso
I think it is the quickest and shortest one, but the fire road climb is hard if it is very dry, because the gravel is loose and deep.

Trail Somewhere Over There
You can turn this gem of a trail into a full blue run, if you stick to the Chicken/ Panty / Mona Lisa signs. In the last third, after a ladder, then do not take the misleading left turn into Green Spider, but keep right, traversing the hill, then after around 100m, do not take the left turn into LFW (signed: LFW welcomes you) but keep right traversing the hill and to complete a full blue SOT run.
In my video (see Videos of this trail) I turn into Green Spider!

Trail Somewhere Over There
Thanks to the builder for building all the chicken lines. That made it rideable for me after coming back from injury. If you ride all chicken lines, I would consider this a dark blue.
Hint: it is very easy at the end to go accidentally into 'Green spider" which has a short but chunky slab with a turn at the bottom. If you want to avoid that, better make sure you stay on SOT.

Trail Somewhere Over There
Rode this for the first time today. What a great trail! Super fun slabs and rock work. Great flow. All around amazing ride. And the climb up there is through some beautiful terrain as well.

Trail Angry M
The first half of this trail has very steep tech. My rear tire was sliding everywhere, to the point where I nearly crashed into a tree twice. The second half has fun bridges and was mostly chill. If you are intermediate I suggest doing Half Nelson and cutting over to the second half first before committing to the entire thing.

Trail Of Mice and Men
I don't think this climb trail is nearly as difficult as the climb trail to Half Nelson. It's pretty straight forward with a few switchbacks and tech.

Trail Value Added
Fantastic double black trail. Worth the climb/push up. One long slab section with multiple lines. More dirt, less slabs than other trails in area but the dirt sections are steep, rooty, and have fun corners to navigate, prime techy jank. Flows easily into
penthouse slabs for a sick descent

Trail Rigs in Zen
Definitely a double black. This trail is steep and very very rough. Moto-track level rough.

WOW !
Same builder as the Rupert and you can see it by the amount of love and slabs, this is one of the best !

Trail Value Added
Ridden most places in BC and can say this is not a single black, cream puff in pemberton is much more of a single black in comparison (with double black optional lines). A single black is Rupert, Pamplemousse and entrails. I went into this trail thinking it was a single black and had to walk 90% of it.

Trail Of Mice and Men
Climb is not for the faint of heart. Steep and loose.

Trail Northside Connector
This is a service road that accepts all forms of traffic. The elevation cart is very obviously very wrong. The road is reasonably mellow and could be driven by car.
[Reply]

Trail Northside Connector
Well, the elevation map is correct. Small data ranges skew.

Trail Northside Connector
There's vertical exaggeration which is usually shown on profiles so you can see it more easily.

Masterwork, strongly recommended. Never did the other way, this way looked jankier so I did it.

A great trail with some fairly large steep slabs in it, would be better if the access wasn't so horrible!

You'll know you're on this trail when you go from smooth rock rolls to janky slabs with awkward corners. Will appeal to some for sure but it's a very different ride compared to the smooth Somewhere Over There, and definitely a marked step up in difficulty.

Trail Somewhere Over There
Awkward trail to get too, loose fire road cling up, but an absolute gem, could be one of Squamish best trails hands down, so much going on here, some drops, some slabs, lots of tech, and beautiful woodwork, how can you ask for more

if pleasure trail is debated as being black / double black and Rigs in Zen is a black, this is most definitely is a black as it is far easier than both of those trails.

Such a great trail! Countless rock features to ride. Best of everything on this one. The climb to get to the trailhead is technical and demands a lot of energy. The trailhead is a large rock slab between a couple of trees and a small dip at the bottom.

No fun on a wet day. Too many roots and tricky technical sections for me. I couldn't get any flow. I'll try again on a dry day

The best of Squamish for sure. Rock rollers, steep rocky/rooty pitches, xc climbing, and some fast flow. Other trail favorites in Squamish are:

Trail Brackentrail Exit
Can anyone tell me the directions of the two new trails end/start below brackentrail? One goes towards top of skyridge, one goes up jacks to the end of icy hole of death. I have climbed them both but I have also had people come down it. Thanks

Great to have an alternative to biking up the forestry roads. As a whole though, I think there's a bit too much descent for a climb trail. Enough to add 280m vertical up to half Nelson seems like a bit too much. Some people may enjoy it, personally I think a climb trail should be designed to efficiently get you to the top of the trails
[Reply]

Trail Green Spider
Definately take the alt ending. Techy and fun. I walked back up to take the normal way and regret it doing it.

Trail Somewhere Over There
Awesome trail. It was the final stage in the 2018 Gryphon and oh boy was it scary pinning it down this trail at race speed. At the bottom we were laughing because at one point there were 8 fixing their flat tires! Very well built trail that makes excellent use of the terrain. Super fun rock rolls. Would ride again.

Didn't know climb trails could be so fun! Lots of tech to keep things interesting: roots, rocks and a few tight switchbacks. Not super steep. I dig it!

I think the descent is easier..but then you have climb back up the power line hill if you are looping back to Quest University. The old way has the short climb but is more interesting after the climb and you dont have to climb the power line hill at the end.
[Reply]

Trail Green Spider
No, you can bypass that hill if you want by taking a different old road.

You need a big bike for this route, lot of steeps, 3-4ft drops, gnarly turns and roots. Big sharp loose rocks are plentiful :-)

Trail report = "Jun 23, 2015 Dusty slabs"
I'm thinking that the year round report could include "dusty/greasy slabs", as the main rock slab is always dirty, with a constant fresh supply sliding on to it.
That would be a rippin' rock section if it could stay clean....
