Not well maintained, it doesn't worth to go all the way up, both double black and black are in really bad conditions.

Great trail .....I did not have the best bike for the task a Giant Anthem Advanced with barely 100m of travel so it was a struggle. On the whole a great flowy trail with tech...higly recommended if you are in the area riding the other trails add this one to your list for the last rip before heading to the parking lot

The elevation chart does not do this justice… there are some savage punchy climbs. Steep, abrupt, loose and techy. I love some old school tech but honestly I would pass on this and ride more of the other stuff in this area. There are definitely a few fun moves here, but I didn’t think the juice was worth the squeeze.

If you've never ridden this trail, you have to go slow on your first way down. But after you get to know it, really cool technical but also flowy trail. Lots of rocky sections, corners with lots of roots and some rock walls. The ending is flowy and leads into another easy flow trail

Can anyone tell me the directions of the two new trails end/start below brackentrail? One goes towards top of skyridge, one goes up jacks to the end of icy hole of death. I have climbed them both but I have also had people come down it. Thanks

I loved this trail! I would call it an easy black trail. Although I love tech trails and challenging myself, it was fun to ride top to bottom without having to stop and look at any features the first time on this trail. This trail flows! For me and my riding level, it was low stress and less dangerous than most of the black trails I’ve checked out in the area.

Would be a fun trail to get to know really well. Also great for suspension tuning. As an out-of-towner, for a single descent, I found the combination of mellow angle and massive erosion more chunky than fun or hard. I wondered if it was just too beat to hell after being the PB Hot Lap--maybe it was better 2 years ago.

Great to have an alternative to biking up the forestry roads. As a whole though, I think there's a bit too much descent for a climb trail. Enough to add 280m vertical up to half Nelson seems like a bit too much. Some people may enjoy it, personally I think a climb trail should be designed to efficiently get you to the top of the trails

Riding awesome at the moment. The sea to sky needs more trails like this! The berms ride amazing and add perfect flow to this otherwise technical trail. No stupid uphills (once the trail starts proper) also adds up to ultimate flow. Trail builders take note-this is how you build trails.

Ditch and pile machine construction has created a facsimile of of a mining road. Gets you up there reasonably efficiently, but with zero natural engagement or harmony.

Hi Jayacheess! Couldn't agree more with your review. The bottom half of the trail was built with a slightly bigger machine and a rock hammer. With all of the rock in the area, the hammer allowed us to build a good size bench and large radius turns and ditches. The upper half of the trail was built entirely by volunteers with a small machine and no rock hammer. The uphill ditches are necessary, but the corners are definitely too tight. We plan to go up in the next month or so and replace the ditches with culverts on the six tightest corners. This will give riders about another foot of turning radius and eliminate the sluffing too.

Honest review from a donor to the trail fund for this project: The trail is an absolute masterpiece. I'm blown away by how much vertical you get with such a reasonable climb. The amount of work put in is amazing, and everyone involved in the build should be extremely proud.

That said, I have a critique. Some of the switchbacks during the last half of the climb are extremely janky. They're tight, and the soil falls to an offcamber in to the drainage ditches too close to the radius of your turn. I was constantly sliding off the trail during the switch backs. Mind you, it was my first ride up, but it still seemed overly touchy to hit those properly.
