Awesome smooth run! Except the rock garden. Well maintained. Start at the top...not the bottom. Love it!

Trail upgrades 05-2020. New jumps are stupid. Built by the type of people riding enduro e-bikes around with full-face helmets on. Disappointed.

Trail has been changed with most if not all features been covered with dirt. This is now a green trail.

This is a very fun trail, and you don’t need a soft tail bike to have fun! I highly recommend this trail, and it doesn’t matter if you have a soft tail or hard tail, come the extra trip out. For me, it’s more fun, but more sketch on a hard tail.

Great trail. Completely different to the other trails at Daisy and I love it. Technical and steep. A good challenge. Well worth the climb out if that’s your thing.

Now I’ve ridden it, it does get steep and technically challenging, but I’m only 12, anyway, this trail is the best tech trail in Daisy Hill and is definetely worth the travel out.

I can see why the now classify this as a blue not a black trail. There is no real features except a berm.

Yep. Doesn't mean trailforks needs the same ridiculous ratings. At least international visitors won't have a laugh when they check trailforks and then ride our trail systems.

Trails in daisy hill and most of the sanctioned Brisbane trails are rated according to IMBA international standards (by professional mtb auditors). part of that standard is consideration of the local area when rating trails. hence many Brisbane black trails would be downrated if they where in a different locality. Trail forks policy as far as i am aware is to respect the rating if it is professionally given.

Does that mean we have to upload them with the ridiculous ratings that BCC gives them though? I find it hard to believe BCC rates tracks by IMBA standards. Anyone from USA, Canada, NZ or the UK (pretty much anywhere) will come and ride our 'black' trails like Pipeline and have a good laugh. Without a single feature on it, how can a trail like Ripleys be given a blue rating. It also discourages beginners, whereas beginners can easily ride this track

Trail Ripley's
First they have not been rated by bcc (only gap creek is managed by bcc), they have been graded by qualified MTB auditors, we even have 1 in Brisbane that made a significant contribution to the IMBA standard and documentation.
Regarding pro riders and traveling riders most already have an understanding that each individual location is different and the local population will have drastically different skill levels.

A major part of the IMBA ratings system is respecting the locality (median skill level). As a result each area can be uprated or downrated somewhat, the the publicly available versions of the documentation are pretty accurate. Of course most countries have thier own slightly different version (including us).

In the case of trailforks, documentation (available to the public) instructs if a trail is rated by an accredited body using the standard it is usually respected.

Yes, compared to almost everywhere else I have been they are conservative. But it's only recently I have learned about the finer details of how trails are rated.

Trail Koala
There are some features on Koala as of July 2019. Obviously built by the type of people that ride enduro bikes and wear full face helmets around Daisy, so not ideal. There’s what’s meant to be a little jump out of a left-hand switch back, watch out for it, it’s deadly.

Cool track with nice single track berms. Nice track to pump on as well..a few tricky spots to avoid jumpin into a berm if your a nrwbie.. and small rock garden but a nice open trail that joins Koala at fire trail intersection and will help you practice speed into corners.Enjoy!!
