Enkarterri Open Challenge es un desafío deportivo que consiste en completar varios circuitos individuales en una horquilla de fechas determinada para cada uno de ellos. No se trata de una competición, pero esta diseñado de manera que puedas exprimir tu vena competitiva.

EKOC se desarrollará en las comarcas de Enkarterri y Meatzaldea (Bizkaia) entre el mes de enero y junio de 2021, y tú decides cómo y cuándo completarlo. El desafío consta de seis sedes fijas y no hay un día ni una hora concreta para recorrerlas: depende de ti elegir el momento, dentro de unos límites previamente establecidos.

Los circuitos están diseñados para disfrutar de cada modalidad al máximo, a través de diferentes terrenos que te adentrarán en parajes de gran belleza aún por descubrir: montaña, mar, parques naturales… ¿Te atreves?

La tercera sede, la ruta parte de Balmaseda, la primera villa fundada en Bizkaia, y nos muestra las dos caras de Enkarterri: la villa medieval, con sus callejuelas empedradas y un inigualable patrimonio cultural, y el entorno más rural, que descubriremos en el trayecto −entre cumbres y valles− hasta Artzentales. El Kolitza nos acompañará en todo momento, coronado por la ermita románica de San Roque. Sus 879 metros de altitud ofrecen una impresionante panorámica de 360 grados sobre Balmaseda y los valles circundantes. El alcance de sus vistas le mereció el título de monte bocinero. Unos recorridos que, además de ofrecernos las mejores panorámicas, nos acercarán a los orígenes de Enkarterri.

3/6 - Balmaseda Artzentales - EKOC Medria maraton 31k (2021) is a 20 mile less popular intermediate route located near. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a easy overall physical rating. This route climbs 4,094 ft with a max elevation of 2,290 ft then descends -4,088 ft.
