Undulating single-track trail, great for MTBs. Some horse . It doesn't smell that bad when passing by.

This is a fun technical climbing trail that all riders intermediate and up should check out.
The most technical parts can be easily walked, if necessary. The awesome views at the top cannot be beat in eastern Massachusetts. A top highlight of the park.

Well-crafted and built singletrack - a must-ride when in Blue Hills. More of a blue trail, difficulty-wise, when descending. Most challenging aspect of this trail is avoiding the many unmapped trails (most or all hike-only) crossing it and branching off of it. You'll know it when you take a wrong turn. Hang left at the white triangle, the right turn takes you down the fall line and is brake-scrape city.

Who builds a downhill trail that feels mostly uphill? Some fun derivations off this trail but the trail itself is super meh

If you use the bypass trail, you will eliminate much of the uphill on this trail.

Trail needs some work. Doesn’t seem to be ridden often.

Trail Outer Madden
Great singletrack alternative over climbing the blown out doubletrack. Would caution there’s a lot of sharp rocks that will cut down a tire

About the last third of the trail, going up the hill, is steep and has plenty of rocks capable of stopping the bike. Definitely not blue. I believe a trail should be rated towards the tougher parts, so I am rating this a solid black.

Yes - top 1/3 of the trail is very difficult climbing or descending. Changed the trail to Black
