Segment 1: 7th secret

7th Secret is an all-weather, heavily armoured bike trail flowing from just before the seventh switch-back on mountain hwy back to the sixth switch back between Pipeline and Expresso. The few ladders, bridges, jumps and log rides are easier than you might at first expect, but sometimes come at you by surprise, so you may want to go easy on your first descent. The more difficult stuff mostly has easier workarounds.

Segment 2: Leppard
Short XC Rolling contour trail that has lots of pedalling and tight twisty technical sections on an armoured trail bed.

Segment 3: Crinkum Crankum
Crinkum Crankum starts with a series of tight technical switchbacks, then descends a number of steep and often slippery ramps.

Segment 4: Lower Area
Tight, twisty turns flow at you one after the other. Optional wood roll downs and even a log ride at the end offers a little extra to the advanced rider.

SUMMARY:
This is an awesome route. Perfectly balanced finishing off the hard parts with something all little more relaxed. Although Crinkum Crankum can get pretty sketchy in the wet the rest of the trails are just fine in the wet weather. Overall this is a fun route for an intermediate bike looking for a fun descent.

This trail tested my resolve! Very techy (like a lot of trails here) and lots of tight switchbacks. I am new-ish to dh riding so this tested my mettle. Will return to conquer it!

Just because it's a green trail doesn't mean it isn't fun! Lots of little rollers and a semi-skinny for newer riders to practice on.

Resent gold dirt work has really improved the trail. Running best it’s been in years. Thanks to Sarah, Markus, and Thomas for their hard work.

From looking at the really rocky sections I thought they would be really bumpy but, if you go at speed they are actually quite smooth

This trail had some REALLy tight berms that felt like they were dug into the ground
the dirt walls go up near your shoulders at some parts

How this is still rated a black diamond is beyond me. The endless switchbacks are a waste of good vertical that the old trail had in spades.

Tight switchbacks. Good trail to learn bike control on and is a pretty chill trail excluding the log ride.

One of the best trails on fromme. Steep rock switchbacks and at the end, there is a fun wooden ladder part.

Really amazing trail. I Ben in the wet there is still lots of grip.
A note to fast riders, don’t try passing slower riders while they are moving through techy/rocky steep turns. It ruins the experience when you bail because someone decides to blow by you. Just give a shout and pass when safe to do so!! We are all there to have fun. Keep those maneuvers for a race day!

Rock work is astonishing. I can’t even think of all the hours of work put into the construction of this trail. Epic.

The start of the trail is a lot of fun why so many switchbacks? That's just a waste of terrain.

Great blue tech trail, if you have done trails like bobsled and your wondering what some rocks and roots feel like I would recommend this trail as its kinda XC and not too steep but still lots of fun. Just be weary of going to middle griffen as it isnt in that good of condition now a days and has some very tight corners and even a non-roll drop(which you dont usually see on blue trails but is clearly indicated by the huge amount of scrape marks from people's gears and pedals). I would recommend taking a right and going down king of the shore if you are a more beginner rider.

Awesome trail but beware of tight, rocky and sometimes quite steep corners(not very blue votes aside). Still overall sick trail and great for getting better at rocky corners! Most of the other TTFs have a ride around.

Just a heads up all. There’s a significant amount of broken glass spread out on Kirkford beginning approx 20 feet after the initial wood roll-in. I’d like to think it wasn’t intentional but it came in a variety of colours and spread quite neatly.

Beauty of a trail! First ride today, my first ride on the Shore... and it lived up to the hype. Even got to meet Pete, who I understand is the master builder on this beauty. The rock work is amazing! It was pretty busy up there, but everyone was in a good mood and very friendly. Overall a great ride.
