Trail Lower Flume
Wonder how much money it would cost to upgrade this trail to the quality of the sprockets climb one, just to make a nicer smoother longer good quality climb trail to get up the technical ecstasy and fuzzy hugs etc

Trail Duracell
The first 500 meters of the climb seems to have been washed out with all the heavy rain so climbing is a bit more difficult than before.

Brutal descent. No fun on an MTB and a wheel-breaking endeavor on a gravel bike. Wouldn't descend again

Actually quite fun. Some nice bridges over rubbing water.

Trail is getting worse for climbing, was never great, atv traffic has loosened a lot of rock/scree so the opportunities to spin out and expend energy are endless. Not even much fun in the downhill direction, grade is such that you are always riding your brakes.

Beautiful trail, pleasant grade for climbing, variety of forested terrain and interesting skinnies. Great example of BC X/C.

Good for an uphill workout and the stellar views do provide a reasonable reward, but this is a trail to ride for exploration more than anything else. Lots of steep doubletrack and a few rocky washouts.

Agree with the previous comment - this is an ATV trail, very chewed up in places, with enough overgrowth to make it very hard to see the hazards. The short sections where it was possible to open up and let it rip really weren’t enough to make it worth it.

This is not a 9 metre elevation gain stretch. It is much more than that.

I came down this on a hardtail with bikepacking kit as I thought exploring Spipiyus Provincial Park would be fun (I climbed up via the Halfmoon-Carlson fire service road). This trail is very steep and rocky for the most part, it is pretty much all ridable apart from a couple of washed out sections which I didn't fancy tackling. However, there is not much enjoyment to be had descending it. It is inside thick forest throughout, some small fallen trees and some overgrown areas but nothing that you can't ride over/through.

Great trail if your into riding straight down a atv track overgrown with ferns and lurking rocks and sticking out broken off trees. You’ll be holding onto your breaks the whole time waiting for the quarter second section to let off only to be grabbing hard again. I highly don’t recommend the climb to this or the decent. In fact both trails should be removed from the mtb maps, and left for the motorized crowd.

If you’ve ever thought I need a huge uphill punishing climb but your roadbike is in the shop I highly recommend this trail. So steep and loose in many parts you will be walking.
Did I enjoy myself: no, but yes because I’m masochist like that.
Would I ride again: absolutely not
Would I recommend: no
Would I recommend to you: for sure! You’re man enough!
