Trail 3 Ravines
If you want a fun downhillish ride, take this trail east…if you enjoy climbs and pain take it west.

Trail 3 Ravines
Not knowing any better the first time I took it Westbound and yes, that’s a challenging climb. The creek crossings are tough and on one of them I could not get up it and basically fell. My understanding is that this is one of the most difficult loops in the Palos forest network.

Trail Psycho Path
Much more fun if you go westbound on this loop, making it mostly downhill. However, if you want a killer workout, go in the opposite direction. Also, be careful on some the turns. They’re narrow and basically blind, hard to tell if other riders are coming from opposite direction.

Trail 3 Ravines
One of the best in the Palos Triangle. Must ride if you're in the area.

This is not called "Ugly Pants". It is the "Campground Trail". Please edit.

This is what happens when people think the Strava segment is the official trail name.

Question: I've heard the southwest section between Turf & Old Argonne Rd referred to as Zip Tie. Is the Trailforks map incorrect? What's the story behind the name Zip Tie? Thanks.

There used to be a bandit trail back there called Zip Tie which Campground now roughly follows. Legend has it that there was a log bridge that was held together with zip ties.
