This great loop starts and ends at the Corn Mill Shoals Parking Area. Crossing the main road get on the Corn Mill Shoals Dirt Road and take the first left up Longside Trail. Continue on the right at the split, not taking Twixt Trail. This will end on the Pine Tree Trail and you will NOT go left, stay straightish, looping around to the right on Pine Tree. You will eventually cross the Staton Road (paved) and carry on to the Cascade trail, following that around to a left hand turn back to Pine Tree before crossing the Staton paved road again near the intersection of the other paved road (Cascade Lake Rd).
Jump on Cascade Lake Trail and take the dirt road on your right called Rock Quarry Road and start climbing
At the top of the quarry climb take another left onto the double track, called Buck Ridge Road, following it all the way up to the Micajah Trail on the left. This sweet single track will give you a little taste of some east coast slick rock and ripping rooty and rocky descents. Stay right on Wilkie for a fun downhill to the parking area on the Left when you pop out near the road.
