A River Runs Through It is a super unique trail featuring awesome west coast trail building. It is a relatively flat trail (by Whistler standards) that has playful lines and many many features to test your riding skills on. There are ride-arounds for most of these features and because of this even if you are an intermediate rider you will still likely be able to navigate this trail and have some good fun and test your skills at the same time. There are many ways to access this ride, but for simplicity sake we have you starting and finishing at Rainbow Park, which means you can jump in Alta lake after your ride If you decided to start at Rainbow, simply follow Westside Road east until you get to the trail-head for A River Runs Through it.
Alternate Access From Village (If you do not want to drive over to Rainbow Park to start the ride): From the Village, ride to the end of Lorimer Rd and cross the tracks. Almost immediately after crossing the tracks, turn left onto a dirt road and follow this for a couple of kilometers to an old gravel pit. You will continue for another 100 meters and look for a well signed trail head on your left (if you reach Alta Lake Rd you've gone too far). A final variation of the approach to the trailhead is to ride Emerald Forest to Alta Lake Rd, and on to the trailhead of A River Runs Through It. To return to your starting point after riding A River Runs Through It simply follow the Valley Trail back to Lorimer Rd.
