the sentinel rocks aka guide stones are just about the dumbest idea ever, and this trail might be the worst implemation of this concept ever devised.

steep with decreasing radius turns, poor layout. Berm might make it better.

some of the berms are nice but some are misshapened and have decreasing radius with lack of berm on the bottom. Way more fun going down IMO Shredder or Haulapauluzza but still misses the mark.

Trail Cheddar
A good climbing trail. Too many speed checks coming down.

Great climb, very well built and engaging for a solid ascent. Would make a good descent for those intermediate riders looking to progress their tight cornering/berm skills, as it doesn't ride all that fast downhill.

Made the "mistake" of riding UP this trail! For a flat-lander from NJ, it was a herculean task...but I made it and was totally stoked!! Turned right around and rolled down...by the end of the downhill my forearms were cramped from holding the grips so tight and working the brake levers non-stop!

Fun trail but many of turns seem a bit tight for letting it rip downhill. You end up checking your speed a lot (as you should as going off trail hazardous in spots).

Trail Cheddar
Amazing forest but the trail doesn't ride very well downhill... just like many Stowe trails, too many speed checks. More designated uphill and downhill would be better, rather than this compromise of boring trails that can be ridden in both directions.

Trail Kimmer's
This trail was state-of-the-art back at the turn of the millennia - it still rides great due to well planned trail layout. Riders should be aware there are few berms and instead the flow is dictated by "sentinel" rocks that mark each curve. Stay on your toes to protect your toes from colliding with one of these rocks - derailleurs are also susceptible. When dry - the trail surface rides like it is littered with glass marbles. If you don't have fun - you ain't riding it right!

Well constructed and fun descent. Not really expert level but watch your speed.

I crashed and banged up my knees and palms on the descent, lunch afterwards at Idletyme with Joe, Pat and Ryan. 6/16/2018
