It takes about 50 minutes to do the loop with a couple stops along the way. I would much rather take this than the trans canada to get to gear jammer. Good ride!

 For the time being to get to lower sidewinder you need to ride a little ways up Gaglardi to a new opening in the trail not shown on the map. (500m or less from the starting point shown.)

 This is no longer the case. There's still a sign that says trail closed but you can still bike in.
