A decently long, technically challenging enduro ride for beginner to intermediate riders.

Extra Info:
No trail connection between West Ridge and Awsut, just take Alta Laguna Blvd. A more technically demanding version of this enduro exists, including a lap of Telonics and substituting the transfer from the end of Mentally Sensitive to Stairsteps with a climb up Stairsteps and Old Stairsteps, then a full run down Stairsteps. Unfortunately, Telonics isn't marked on Trailforks.

The trail is all repaired and running good. All the unexpected hazards are removed. You still have to ride at your ability and it does get soft as it gets drier.

about time they made this a black diamond. the blue rating was really misleading as its much more technical than a blue.

Really challenging and very chunky. Not for the faint of heart. I was in over my head but still enjoyed it. A longer travel bike will definitely come in handy here.

Kind of like the rock garden on Rattlesnake, but Car Wreck is rocks all the way through. Very challenging technical trail with tons of rocks and steep sections.

Trail Lynx
This is my favorite trail at Wood Canyon. It is a fast, technical downhill with some alternate jumps. No big gaps or tables, just little things you can drop off. Do NOT take a beginner down this trail. Only ride this trail when you are comfortable on Rock-It, then it will be really fun!

Don't go up, but the down is great. Super fun with lots of switchbacks. Be warned that this trail is steeper than rock it and lynx, but it is less technical. If you can handle a little bit of steep turns, you'll be fine.

Trail Rock-It
In my opinion this is the best trail at Wood Canyon. I think it is about a low black, and has the right combination of tech and flow. Recently (early 2022) it has been pretty eroded and gnarly than usual. It is a black diamond right now. Please DO NOT go up this trail, as many of the corners are very blind and some people go very fast down it. You may think it is okay because of the many different line choices, but some sections barely have room for a biker to pass a hiker squeezed into a bush, much less another biker pedaling the opposite direction.

Don’t go up, but the downhill is super fun. Some rock rolls, good berms, and a super long rock garden. After the rock garden tho there is a hard uphill. Good luck to anyone who can clear the uphill. I would call it a black and so does the trail system.

Caution on the new section on the lower part of the trail. Just into the new bottom section the left turn there is a piece of rebar stick up about 5 inches and it is dangerous. I’m sure the ranger will bring tools to repair this but be safe for the next couple day.

This uphill trail rewards you with a sweet return. Don't let the mileage fool you, as it climbs over 750 feet. If you don't want to dab, pace yourself in between the switchbacks, as they will ask 110% to roll. Another great hill to ride for time.
