All Collina Tour

Description:
The route starts from the Ferrania abbey, an ancient sanctuary of the XI century, and runs within the Adelasia Regional Natural Reserve.
From the start point continue towards the Provincial road in the direction of Cairo Montenotte. Pass Valmeschia and Rio Toni until you get near Casa dell’Erede. Leave the main dirt road, pick up the track that climbs on the left and reach the summit of Monte Goso, where the first descent begins, the trail that is known as Chat Noir and that takes you to Madonna del Bosco. From there, join the network of paths Bormida Natura. Turning right, the trail continues uphill to Fonga; once you have reached the track on the ridge, turn left first and then go to the right. You will find the start of the MTB trails named by local riders Rokkaround. Among the several possible choices, an exciting one is that known as Castello that allows you to pass through a chestnut grove and through the remains of the walls of the castle of Rocchetta di Cairo, a place also famous for its murals. Keep going and you will join the Provincial road 29. Continue on it in the direction of Cairo and reach Carnovale, gateway to the Langhe region, where you can admire the impressive tuff badlands. From there, along minor country roads touching several villages, you will soon be back to the starting point of the route.
